I remember when i was young !!! Body shop owner 35 yrs...... The wires unplug from the connection by pressing tabs and they slide out how do you think they got them in you did not half to cut the wires . FYI use a shop vac when you drill it sucks up all the metal shavings while you drill .It's all about learning and you learned what not to do and hopefully had some fun. Good job.

Whole saw, not a flap bit. Clipping the harness was spot on though, and the advice about checking alignment as you go is also a hard lesson learned

You couldhave put painters tape on the places to drill, so the paint doesn't chip.

Also use the tip of the flame not the entire thing to shrink the wrap, it'll work faster and not burn the area around it

boat adhesive ( 3M 550 FC ) and you wont need to drill ANYTHING !!! i used this on a s60 to mount a G35 wing on my s60 and didn't want to dill hole that will 1 day leak... 2 years later its still on the car with ZERO bolts holding it...

What about pass through for wires for the third brake light on the spoiler?

@@TheQuadfather1976 still holding strong .. i think the metal would tear before it would come off ..i did scuff the mounting sections both side with the red 3M scotch brite not down deep but enough to scuff the clear coat a bit ...you may not need to do this but i use my wing as a up and down handle to open and close my trunk...........youtube this 3m stuff there is videos !!! a guy took a table glued down by this stuff 3 hrs to chisel it off the floor of a ship !

The holes are in the place where water flows anyway (outside before the flaps are sealed)

Sorry, but this is a total hack job dude. I appreciate the effort I really do, but there’s a few things you hacked. #1 being the wire cutting. The car wasn’t built around an LED strip. On the connector there’s a prong holding down the pin-outs, lift it and pull the wires out gently then pull the harness through the spoiler and out. #2 that drilling job is out of this world! Lol tape the part that’s to be drilled and drill a small pilot hole and drill from the top down to avoid the paint from cracking. Also work your way up till you’re at the correct size. This will also help avoid paint cracking. #3 always double check your holes before drilling. Now you ended up with one extra hole which is susceptible to water intrusion. Should’ve also used nylon washers and silicone to help avoid water. No a terrible job, but hopefully someone that’s gonna do this job will read the comments and it’ll help them.

I pulled one from a wreck yard and the t25’s stripped and my taps won’t pull them. Rip can’t repaint it properly

My daily is an OR here in the U.K. without spoiler and I now have the dreaded job of drilling it , been putting it off for weeks, you didn’t want an extra brake light then ?

I suppose you could keep both upper lights in use but honestly the spoiler blocks out the old one anyway. Good luck with drilling. You won’t regret it once you see the new look! It’s been 2 years and my son still comments on that spoiler and how good it looks.

Yes use a bug hood guard from a truck trim it with a peanut grinder and a jig saw custom fit it and you will have a one off one of a kind !!!
