The only way to do scones is to handle them very quickly, cut them with a knife and bake them on the top shelf in a very hot oven.

Hi Rich, Our Australian cups are larger so 3 cups = approx 450g but you’d be better off being a bit generous with those measures given I just use the side of the bag to level them out.

Please don’t talk to us as if we were in kindergarten,we all know what a sieve is,clearly you don’t. And why use cream instead of eggs which are way more healthy than all that cream. What’s wrong with yoghurt? Making scones for years ,no fail. Making scones with eggs yoghurt and flour are equally delicious.

Sorry but my scones didn’t work out well. Too much liquid. I tried with 1 cup of cream and 1 cup of soda water, and they were perfect.

In Britain, the origin of the scone, it’s either pronounced scon or scone as you pronounced it. There are number of slightly differing methods and recipes for making scones. Some use buttermilk instead, as it’s a by product of making both butter and clotted cream. The best scones of all are accompanied by strawberry jam and clotted cream in an English cream tea. Clotted cream is made from the cream from the milk of grass fed Jersey cows and is to die for 😋

Totally different to traditional British recipes though. We don't use measuring cups but weigh the ingredients instead. Also we use beaten egg and milk definitely not cream, plain flour is used with bicarbonate of soda and cream of tartar, or self raising flour and baking powder. Caster sugar is sometimes used and also mixed dried fruit.

If u have an air fryer u could put it in a Pyrex dish which will fit into yr airfryer and just get the top browned. Yr meal should be hot from just having prepped it.

Usually original CWA is brown sugar melted with butter cool then add the golden syrup in the tablespoon spray with oil and the syrup falls from spoon. Everything dry is 1 cup

Sift flour onto board. Also lay on tray from middle out. Get yourself a pastry brush.
