The poor kid has poor sepsis that’s terrible is very poor and very disgusting. It’s a poor disease. All diseases are poor and disgusting. I mean, it’s a very poor disease. Disgusting but was the kids IV in the hand or the arm because I know the paramedic put IV in him? Was it in the hand of the arm? I like mine in my arm

I sometimes fainted even after the iron infusion for 3 hours, but I felt okay, but then I fainted again after walking and then laid down on the floor while fainting, so the doctors and nurses helped me to get up and sit on the wheelchair and do the iron infusion for 30 minutes. Even though I fainted after the iron infusion, I still had a great and wonderful time with my mom and the doctors and nurses!!

I understand. I survived Severe Sepsis that piggybacked on Acute Covid Delta and was in hospital 5 weeks. It was vicious, replete with several serious hallucinatory episodes, being on 55-66 liters of oxygen, massive amounts of steroids and heart medicine because the steroids drove me into heart failure and also was on large insulin doses due to this. I lost 50 pounds in one week completely bedridden and had piclines in each arm. I was released when I could take 6 steps with a walker and on 8 units of oxygen with a machine.......I'm a tough old bastard and in a few days I was off the walker... That was 3 years ago and I think I've completely recovered for the most part. I have some joint pains in my hands, digestive issues that are fading and a heart attack about a year ago with no apparent cause but I'm 71 and it could be due to aging..........I'm certainly extremely lucky and probably an unusual case. I truly, truly wish you all the best life has to offer

My cat just died of sepsis because apparently my vet was too ignorant to understand the risk that a flea allergy rash caused. The infection entered his blood and brain. He was diagnosed with encephalitis. He didn't poop for 10 days even with enemas.

Thankfully, in a very tiny hospital in a very tiny town the drs recognized sepsis in me and started all the necessary treatment and sent me on to a larger hospital. By my transfer they pretty much had definitive diagnosis through blood work. I was heading into renal failure but that was thankfully reversed. I than God everyday for his intervention and guidance.

AMDG JMJ Your presentation was absolutely flawless and I so admire your strength. The formation of the Sepsis Alliance is so very important. Everyone needs to be educated in the signs and symptoms of sepsis. I was one of the lucky ones. My husband and six year old took me to an after hours clinic about 20 minutes away because I was not feeling well. By the time I had arrived, I was unable to walk inside and a nurse came outside to assess my condition. She told my husband to get me to the hospital as quickly as possible. From that moment on, I have no memory of what happened. I was told weeks later that I was rushed into surgery, it was streptococcal, I was thrown into gMG crisis, I had Biliary Stenosis, my kidneys were shutting down and they were not sure that I would make it through the night. This whole scenario was caused by a tiny puncture wound from my Doberman’s nail as he jumped up next to me on the bed. It caused, but one minute drop of blood which I dabbed with a tissue. My only memory of the hospital is the wound care specialist using the silver nitrate. (Which continued for months because my wound needed to stay open.) And- apparently I was hallucinating because the things that I thought happened…did not, and vice versa. You and the Stenosis Alliance will forever remain in my prayers! “A Very Grateful Secular Franciscan”
