Hauled many rolls of paper all over the country that were blocked in. Should be a better method for securing them as it's very unsafe the way it's done. Some places didn't have squeeze machines. With some loads had to get in trailer and knock blocking out and get to heck out of the way to let rolls forward. Accident getting ready to happen. Luckily never got hurt. Hoping to never to make a sudden stop or have bad roads. Lots of paper work with trucking that most people don't realize. Kevin is very calm and stays focus. Safe travels. Thank you for the video. Blessings to you.

Reminds me of Chicago Beverage off of Cicero…back in dark building on tiny street with tractor in middle of street! DO NOT leave doors unlocked and get out of town ASAP (dont even think of sleeping there)!

Love Kevin's even-keeled attitude to everything. Patience is a very great virtue in trucking. I wish he an Tanya all the best and stay safe!

Turn on your trailer marker lights. I had my share of dark docks . So we’re like backing into a cave . The challenge is fun and develops your backing up skills

Backing into a building or dark spot. I like using the small orange traffic collapsible cones. A couple kept stored under the bunk come in handy.
@christrella31348 ай бұрын
It's tougher when there's no overhead lighting and once you're inside the building and block out the light, you're going off the light from the 4way flashers.

For the dang rattle fold up a piece of paper towel and stick it in there. It will help. I had a similar rattle in my Freightliner it stopped it. Just a thought. Keep the videos coming

I got to meet Kevin today in Tifton ga 2-23-24 at the pilot exit 60. Kevin is awesome. What did you settle on subway or steak in shake. I live 30 miles away in moultrie ga. Next time I’ll take you to the Golden Corral in Tifton. Thanks Kevin. Be safe going home. PS. Saw you go to the blue beacon. Nothing beats a good truck wash.
@TheJoyofTrucking8 ай бұрын
Kevin loved meeting you too! Subway was the choice. Though we’ve really enjoyed Golden Corral in the past. 🤩 Kevin really loves a freshly washed truck! Blue Beacon always gives great service. So it was a good opportunity. Thanks for introducing yourself! 😃Stay safe!!

Appreciate it. I’m glad to be home for my 3.5 days. Been out west in Cali Utah Nevada. And so forth. Feels good to be back in GA for a second.

Remember Gina when you said “ why do you need such a big bottle of glue”? Coyotes, put up your trail cameras to keep an eye on those critters. They romp though my retirement community here is Arizona, seeking rabbits( which are abundant). But in a pack I have heard of them attacking humans, keep your defense weapon close, especially when cubs are present!

How often do drivers there have to go to a sleep lab?
@TheJoyofTrucking8 ай бұрын
Kevin was tested for sleep apnea before he switched to trucking. During his three years driving he has never been to the sleep lab. So we think it probably depends on the individual driver and their health or health history.
