Ceramic can - not always but CAN - have issues with water spotting. I go with carnauba wax. I have had a lot of nightmare issues with water spots on red cars, and I just won't take that risk.

I have a C6 ls2 z51 m6 3lt with an Edelbrock SC, AR headers and Type II Borla’s. It makes 492 rwhp and 500lbs trq and I never do a full stop clutch dump and abuse the transmission. But at 25 mph in 2nd when I punch it my big ass rear tires still break loose before hooking up. I can hear and feel the TC kick in. Continental summer tires are great but there is so much instant torque from the roots style blower with only 3 lbs of boost, the tires immediately break loose for eight-ten feet. It has a HUD and at 148 mph I have to shift into 5th and stayed into it….holy fu@k! At 152 mph there is so much aero-air filling the engine compartment it lifts the front end up! It’s scary ass hell and swear I could go elbow to elbow with the steering wheel and it would still run straight. Tried it again a week later on the same long straight away because I thought I was just being a pussy, same fu@king thing! At stock they say it does 186 mph and that’s actually 350 rwhp so I have no doubt it’s a 200 mph car, if it stays on the ground 😁 It’s a sleeper car with no badging and the Edelbrock fits under the stock hood and one day a C6 all cammed up came flying up my ass on a country road heading an mile from entering a small town. So I down shifted and punched it and surprised the cammed up C6 as he couldn’t real me in. He follows me through and couple turns and we exit same small town, but this time he’s ready. Rolling at 25 mph there’s a nice straight ahead of us and I punch it again. It does the momentary break loose and off we go. Same result as I pull away. At 120 mph I lift because traffic is coming our way and quickly get down to reasonable speed. He’s still pissed and I have no idea how psychotic he may be as he passes me right in front of oncoming traffic 🫣. So now he slows down in front of me and he wants to go again. He’s too fu@king crazy and I don’t bite. So he’s going to show me what a great operator he is as we approach his subdivision entrance and he turns left into it. As he’s turning at 25 mph he’s going to show me what he’s got and hammers it! Bad choice because as you’ve been reading, these C6 are not forgiving. His ass end jumps out…over corrects…lifts and gets into a second later…now it snaps back the other way for another 300 degrees…and when he lifts he shoots across the road, through a ditch (violently) and lands in some guy’s front lawn. I just shake my head as I slowly go by in my old man plain Jane sleeper Corvette 😁

You’re buying a Corvette, now is not the time to go cheap, put everything on it. Don’t worry when you take it back in for service or when it breaks, (and it will remember it’s just a Chevy ) they will bend you over and break it off, so you might as well get used to it right now. I ordered mine fully loaded so I can start breaking in my sphincter right away. Then you can get your own personalized plate that says NOREGRET…….. Depending on where you are in life you either give/given it all to your ex or you buy a fully loaded Corvette and enjoy yourself or really go bat §h!t crazy and do both

I went for the 2024 1LT in Cacti-green, the only options were the NPP exhaust and PPF for the front from the dealer. Got the car new for $67k plus taxes and stuff... Nice exhaust, cool color, 10 speaker Bose, power everything, leather everything, digital rear view mirror, etc... What else does one really need, for the daily driver, weekend toy and maybe a track day once a year?

The gt500 didn’t get that much attention. It was the hellcats that stole the show. However the when you think of the gt500 competitors it would mainly be the Camaro zl1 not the base model c8 corvette. You could even toss an m2/m4 in there as well.

It's not even close. The GT500 has gapped the c8 from a dig and a roll and it beat the c8 around the track. The c8 is a sad wannabe Ford GT/ off brand Ferrari. It still gets murdered by the Ford GT and it's pickup truck engine as well 😂 sorry GM fan Bois, you lose again at the hands of Ford. BTW the GT500 is a ten second car on the factory tune.... Where did you get the 11.3 bullshit from?

If your going to use alcohol to wipe down the car as the last step for the ceramic coating to remove everything off the paint, I don’t what the point is to polish the car. Since you put the polish on and then you alcohol wipe it right back off it seems to be a waste of time for no reason. Can you explain your reasoning of that step? I would think you clay bar and then do the alcohol and your now ready for the ceramic coating.

This is probably the best buying video ive seen so far. Im looking at my 1st with the 8. Im honestly looking at a z06, on the lower end😂 Lt1. Im looking at the z51 only due to the Lingenfelter tvs2650 supercharger. Gives you 700 hp and thinking about weekend drags once in a while and im wondering if this makes sense thinking about the supercharger add later. I worked at a chevy dealership in new cars when the 6 came out incased headlights and independent rear suspension...needless to say getting to drive them i was hooked. 3 kids and married kept it a work reality home dream😂😂😂. Im now in the looking stage. C7 z06, C8 2/3lt possibly with supercharger, mostly likely, or just go...(I do NOT like how this sounds😅) a "base" C8 z06 saying F--- it! Anyone know these numbers knows there is a VAST RANGE inside that set of parameters. This is ongoing to say the least. Adding this channel. Your information makes more sense for me being a state away from you. Wont be a daily but with the streets here lifting the front is NEEDED😂

Hello,I am a new subscriber to your channel and I like your videos so far and I wanted to make a request and see if you could do a video showing us the right way to have fun with your C6 Corvette when you want to do donuts And I’m sure you would have a lot of fun making a video like that. would be great if you could because that’s what I wanna do with mine as soon as I get it so it would be for instructional purposes. If you can’t, then it’s all good I guess you’re just too chicken😄 I’m just goofin and I understand if you rather not make a video like that but it would be a great one to see👍

There is only one wing. Although below it , mounted on the rear of the trunk lid, is a spoiler. That said, Spoilers don't produce down force. Wings do. Spoilers are designed to mitigate drag due to turbulent airflow, primarily off the rear of a vehicle. They do so by directing the airflow upward so as to blend with clean, non turbulent airflow. Whereas wings produce downforce in order to aid in rear tire traction at speed. That said, wings also produce drag and with acft it's referred to as lift induced drag. Simply put it means you can't have lift, and as a result, flight, without creating drag, although it can be mitigated somewhat via what is known as boundary layer control. In short that means controlling the airflow over the wings. In short there are wings and there are spoilers which are not similar in appearance and serve different purposes, as above. Hence another common misunderstanding is use of the term "High wing spoiler", although there's no such thing. It's either a wing or a spoiler. A wing being much larger than a spoiler and is mounted well above the rear of the vehicle. Whereas spoilers are typically attached to the vehicle on the aft edge of the trunk lid for example. Note: if you have a ZR1 which has the ZTK track package you'll notice it has a carbon fiber wing. And if you gently feel the underside of the wing you'll notice the front (leading) edge will have a distinct curve to it, where near the back, 'trailing edge', it won't. It's those diffrences which mean it's a wing and has an airfoil like shape. As do the wings on most acft. Yes, it may sound a bit long winded, but simplicity is often a complicated thing.
