How much would an electric conversation kit cost similar to yours and is it rear hub driven Madison Thanks.

My bike isn’t electric so I don’t know much about them I’m afraid, but may be look at something like Swytch (not sure if they’re any good) or search KZbin for something like “GCN electric conversion” see if GCN channel have reviewed some. You’re probably looking at several hundred pounds for something with a decent battery. 🚴🏻♀️

I love the ride between Keynsham and Hanham Mills. Much nicer in the summer of course, especially as my gravel bike tyres can’t handle mud like at 28:52!
@MadisonTen3 күн бұрын
Yes, the mud is always a challenge, even on a mountain bike if you don’t keep up the momentum and just go for it (but get stinking in the process) 😀

Hi, Just discovered your channel, I've ridden the Bristol Bath cycley so many time as part of longer routes but didn't know you could follow the lower Avon. I'll definitely be adding this next time. Love your style of filming and content, I tend not to use Music and you sort of use it at the right moments. I've not watched any of your others yet, but I will now. Love to hear you speak haha. Might bump into you someday. Thanks for some great entertainment. Graham

@MadisonTen4 күн бұрын
Thanks, Alf. That valley is a nice trail. I have considered narration, if I could come up with a style I may, but I get as many people asking for narration as I do saying they prefer it without. ☺️ It would also depend if I could find the time to add it as I already spend tens of hours on each video - but never say never 😎🚴🏻♀️👍

Now that's what I'd call a Grand Day Out, nicely done. The river path looked particularly challenging, so great job getting through it. I expect it gets pretty overgrown and full of nettles in summer. I've recently put mudguards back on for the winter, even the surfaced lanes round here are coverd in all sorts of muck, so saves a bit on cleanup time.
@MadisonTen4 күн бұрын
Yes, it worked out just right. I was thinking about mud guards while cycling this one. I've never got them as it's only the odd muddy ride by may be I should as my large saddle bag gets all the mud, so may be I should protect it - providing there is room for one? I can imagine some parts getting overgrown indeed and may be busier with walkers between Keynsham and Bristol in the summer.

Thanks! No I haven't but funny you should mention that as I did cycle the other side of Dartmoor, one of my favourites so far, and was looking for a reason to return, may be riding the east side of Dartmoor so that might be just what I need - providing I can get there ☺️ I'll look into it, may be for next year. Hope you manage to get out soon. 🚴🏻♀️

@MadisonTen There is a Railway station at Newton Abbot. Not sure about transport from Moretonhamptead though. You might just have to ride back to Newton Abbot. But it is downhill mostly. I will have a look at the distance. If you want a GPS file I could send you one possibly.

Just watched this one on the TV again another excellent video. I may have mentioned in the past that my husband and myself cycled from Pucklechurch to Bath via the old railway. But it was Clifton that bought back memories of myself and sister playing on the downs when with Mom and Dad we made our way down to Dunster for our summer holidays. For my husband it was visiting his Auntie who worked in the hospital. But I leave on a sad note it's a pity the Zoo was closed down many a happy hour spent there. Keep up your excellent work !!! ps how long did it take to clean the bike??!!!!
@MadisonTen4 күн бұрын
Hi Sheila, yes I remember you saying about Pucklechurch. Aw sounds so idyllic. Summers of the past were good (rose tinted I'm sure). Yes I was surprised about the zoo closing, I guess it's a sign of the times and how zoos are viewed these days compared may be to more open 'enclosures' like Longleat. A sad loss. I'm sure I went there as a child but I can't remember it. I'll have to get Mum and Dad to dig out the old photo album ☺️ Thanks! Much appreciated. Washing bike - about 10 mins with a pressure washer on low setting to get the most off, avoiding the bearings. Then 5 mins with one of those large soft car wash brushes. Just needs a dry day ☀️🚴🏻♀️

Aw thanks. I caught a very early train, which was fine to start with but once I got to Newport loads of people got on and it was rammed. Another finely crafted production 😊 I do like the night time, town playouts; it's nice to see both countryside & town. Have you got all the instruments or do you use a synth etc ? Hope the storm is being gentle with you.
@MadisonTen4 күн бұрын
Thanks so much ☺️ I use a mixture, drums are free-playing drums on an iPad and some of the synth sounds. Guitar is a PRS SE Custom (real electric guitar), Bass is a Santa Rosa bass guitar I bought in the 90s, piano is usually my digital Yamaha P95 (which I also use for violin orchestration) but sometimes I record with a real upright piano Yamaha B2E, the digital is easier to record with. I do have a violin as well but I can't really play 😂🎻

Haha, I know. When I was editing I thought exactly the same thing. "A lion, a lion, a... oh it's a cow" 😄 Yeah I could chop up at home, I'm always in two minds, partly to avoid drying out and partly as it makes something nice to film, but it does mean carrying more stuff that all adds to the weight. I'm learning as I go. That's really interesting, I didn't know that. I did read up a bit on some of the history but found it difficult to find exactly details on some of the trains that used the line. Such an incredible climb (and descent of course). Must have been quite a sight. I only found a photo of the old Bryn Station but not much else.
