I loved seeing Jinshi getting caught by Gyokuyou and her reaction. First time we have seen her genuinely angry. It also reinforces how she will protect her ladies. The other thing this shows, if we didn't already know, is that the concubines clearly out rank Master Jinshi. Makes me laugh every time I watch that scene.

2:40 Jesus, how annoying is that you can react to EVERYTHING only from a feminist victim mentality perspective... Maomao literally tells you 2 seconds later it's an act of the emperor, aka a political step to show everyone that he ACTUALLY CARES about the daughters or literal kings. They told you multiple times so far that the top concubines are like the queens with tremendous influence and power, also that the emperor loves Lady Gyokuyou, but naaaaaaah, it must be because he "doesn't care" ... yeah.... I'm not even commenting the disgusting crap you spewed with the same attitude at 20:52 when again literally a few seconds later they show you what is that personality when she comforts Maomao....

yeah so lishu was the concubine of the previous emperor but back then the current emperor and concubine ah-duo ran blocker for lishu against the previous who had pedophilic tendencies because he had a fear of mature women because of his own mother it is no excuse for what the previous emperor did but it was the explanation that we got

Please keep this model for a longer time! Also, I feel a bit conflicted about the remake. It does get better later on, but it did miss a lot of the emotional weight so well presented in the original. Nevertheless, a great anime.

I didn't focus on the differences between them because I don't believe it would do the show any favors to do so. It is very different, from small position changes to entire character gender changes to relationship between characters. I don't feel like the changes change the anime or make it better personally. I do very much enjoy the updated style and animation however. The new model is my April Fools model, if you like it, I can keep it for the entire season 🧡

Just a small note, changes like the gender change are actually correct. The new anime follows the source much closer, which makes it sooo much better to readers. Not all of us prefer the new animation, but the characters and story are closer to what they were supposed to be in the first place.

So I'm extra happy for that. I can't express how happy that the two leads got the same voice actors back, especially the VA for Holo.

Laios is that weird guy with a hyperfixation on something nobody understands. He just loves monsters. As soon as he learns something new about monsters, he gets so excited that he starts talking faster and faster. It's a lot like how I am about video games. I feel so seen by Laios!

I really love this episode. Just great animation and top tier creativity for the monster. Also, I love the "Elden Ring boss" aesthetic for the stronger living armor. Looks like an Ornstein or Cleanrot knight style armor.

The audio is great, so many reaction channels are almost impossible to listen to the actual videos they're reacting to and this is a great balance of volume and slight distortion to avoid dmcas! Also love having you join the Marcille fan club, she the greatest mood in the series!

I generally really like Senshi, but his complete disregard of Chilchuck's instructions genuinely pissed me off. Chilchuck was being professional and performing his role in the party, but Senshi was setting off so many traps that could've very easily killed any of them. It feels almost out of character for Senshi because of how flippantly he's treating everyone's lives.

Methode being able to withstand Fern is a whole achievement in its own way. It seems she did not succeed on restraining Fern (judging by how there's a clear aftermath of a violent battle in her scene). She definitely has something else up her sleeve. Usually a jack of all trades is a master of none (high floor but low ceiling), but at this point it seems Methode's ceiling is a lot higher than expected at least close to that of Fern's who is specialised in combat. Oh your new model is Lovely! 😍 The show is unique from other food animes I have seen that feature food, (And there are no strippers like in food wars lol) the food is pretty much ALL from the Dungeon, looks weird but tastes good. Also the main character Laios I believe its implied that he has ADHD which is why he was spacing out in the beginning. 13:19 "How do you eat living armor?"...About that..😅

The manga has a lot of content that the anime couldn't realistic put in, like the end of chapter monster ecology, or side stories to flesh out character interactions that don't happen in the story or some backstories. The anime is a great adaptation, don't get me wrong, but by the nature of the medium isn't as complete, so even reading the manga after watching the anime still has a lot to give.
