Please don’t do an MLM or a coach scam! They prey on people in desperate situations just like cults do. Hannah Alonzo on KZbin is a good source for more info on MLMs. I think it’s really easy for people who used to be in a cult or cult-like environment to be sucked into a similar environment. If you did or not, a word of advice is don’t put all your eggs in one basket: learn skills and make something tangible that people would buy.

Happy you got out. All these cults are evil. The only cult that is the safest is the Mormon cult. They are more like the crazy people next door. Jehovah witnesses is really bad and Christian Science Monitor these two calls do not allow blood transfusions when you’re sick.

It's very encouraging to see you spend time with the twelve tribes and to come out of it. I spent some time with them myself and have a family member who is stuck in it and I want to hopefully reveal the truth of their lifestyle to them. I would love to talk with you if you are interested

I visited the twelve tribes many times in the late 90s, I too enjoyed the idea of community life. I’m not sure they didn’t slip me drugs in my food, it’s always been a question I’ve had, my eyes always looked weird/ different after visiting with them. In the end I decided it wasn’t for me but I’ve always wondered how my life could have been very different than it ended up. Thank you for sharing your story
@jillybeenz8699Ай бұрын
yea, community is good. A lost aspect here in America. Being around people that have similar values and are trustworthy. Hard to find tho. TT just forces everyone into their God shaped box, coupled with shame and deprivation of all sorts. Don't know about the drugs...never came across anything that I remember...

"If I give up all my possessions to feed the poor......but have not love (God), it profits me nothing." If God has one's entire heart, He has all of him or her. He calls His people to be good stewards of all that He has entrusted to them, which includes their own personal bodies. Not understanding this from the Scriptures leaves one an easy target for groups that think that to surrender all is mostly external, but God looks on one's heart.

I was in the 12 tribes a couple of years and the shepherds demonized me and sent me away after I repented and gave up everything despite Luke 17 verse 4. And they also separated me from my wife, now if that's not a cult tell what is.

Ok.. I’m not having flashback trips it’s just this crazy camera effects, right? My story with 12 tribes was brief, but here I am 30+ years later.. curious how the tribe has fared through their journey together. 1993, Grateful Dead, fall tour, old Boston Garden. 12 tribes bus parked on the corner in the heart of it all… Invited onto the bus. Energy was welcoming. Food was organic and bountiful. People were all so nice, healthy, loving, and welcoming. I almost accepted the offer to go back to a tribe community in Connecticut for an upcoming wedding. Had no idea I skirted fate that evening. Choose you own adventure. I’m very grateful for what you have shared here today sister. No matter the cost of mind manipulation of self, no one has permission to take our soul. Your are courageous and beautiful JillyBean. blessings 🙏

Hey just for knowledge sake, you probably can’t get into too much detail, but I would like to hear how the husband left the cult, and how the cult members dealt with that by making you leave. Do you still co parent? What is your co parents stance on individuality and freedom, is he a part of his children’s lives after the split? I’m also a single mom of two, so I’m curious on how this came to be. Thank you so much! Just found your channel So informative and your energy is just beautiful. Stay Blessed
