@@Capn_CodfishReplaced it with an OEM part. I'm pretty sure I reused the old boot with a zip tie.

I got a replacement kit from Detroit Axle for the "complete" front end and it did not come with the new inner tie rod washer, which is Honda 53536-SDA-A02, FYI in case you need to order one. I reluctantly reused the old one.

I just changed my tires and I hear a humming noise when driving I checked all tires and my rear wheel bearing is making a noise when rolling it. I will try to change it. Thanks. The front ones are difficult to change so I hope is just this one.

Hi there. I don't think the reset will help fix your issue. Have you replaced both fuel sending units (level sensors) as well? I believe most E39 models have two sending units, one on the driver side and another on the passenger side.

My crankshaft pulley is stuck on. Bolt is off but the one that drives the AC belt and alt belt isnt going. The only pulley small enough to fit in there slips off. Any suggestions?

If we have no impact gun, how do you get access to the flywheel teeth to stop the motor from turning over?

You'll need a crankshaft pulley holder to hold it in place while trying to loosen the main bolt. I honestly can't remember if that's on option on these engines. If not, you could always try the starter bump method, though I wouldn't recommend it from a safety standpoint.

it's a long story but i was driving at about 4 to 5 thousand rpm on a highway and the engine just shut off. The engine had been having ticking noises prior to that. when i try to start the car, the engine cranks but it wouldn't start. i scanned the car and it came up with P0403(cylinder 4 misfire) and P0425(knock sensor issue). ive swapped out the spark plugs and checked the followings: - ignition cable and the distributor - fuel pump and injectors - air compression in each cylinders - cam position sensor (i havent checked the crank sensor but i doubt it'd be the issue) - i checked whether the timing belt moves when i cranke the engine and it does move I've consulted with multiple local mechanics over the phone and they all think it's either the cam/crank sensor or the timing is off on the timing belt. I've seen your video on checking the timing on the car but i wont be able to check on the car since i am away for a few days. (i will definitely try to check if the timing is off on the belt, based on your video) would you have any suggestions or idea what could be wrong with the car? thank you so much for your time. i really appreciate it

What do I do if the brand new axle pops back out of the tranny leaking al the fluid out? Will it pop back in or will it all have to be taken apart again to put it on the splines in a different position?

Thanks for this video man! My wipers work again! I didn't replace the whole linkage though just the bars with the ball and sockets. But your instructions on how to remove the linkage was clutch. Thanks again!

My water pump is making a weird noise. I thought was the belt and remove then tight again, but still making it. When I push gas noise goes away, when I stop or an idling it make the noise. I used a stetoscope and I hear the noise by the water pump bearing, but the car is not getting hot. Everything is working fine.

100% IS YOUR WATER PUMP. remove the whole thing and replace it with a new OEM.

ima save this one! i work at autozone and i've been there nearly 3 months and i hated doing conventinal since most of them were rusted on this is gonna help me get through since my perferd methed is without that entire thing with the rainx wiper blades

I see u got some lights on dashboard while ingition is on. I got the battery one and oil sign too. When i turn car on,there will be no those lights on anymore. Do i have a battery and something with oil fault? Why those stay while ingiton is on?

This is normal operation. When the ignition is on but engine is off, oil pressure indicator and battery indicator will stay on since there is no oil pressure and alternator is not generating electricity. Once you start the engine, both lights will turn off if everything is functioning normally.

No. I never fixed it. I didn't want to replace the injectors. Are you having the same problem during extremely cold weather?

Excellent job! One question my 1998 Honda Accord wipers seem to go off the edge of the windshield. What would you say is causing that? The linkage or the motor?

Sounds like your wiper arm(s) have slipped/shifted from the original "home" position. You'll need to remove the nuts holding down the wiper arms, remove the wiper arms from the linkage, ensure that the motor/linkage is in its home position and then reinstall the wiper arms so they are close to the cowl. Then make sure to tighten it down pretty well as the holes in the wiper arms are tapered because the area of the linkage where the wiper arms interface have tiny splines on them which dig into the tapered hole of the wiper arms when the nut is torqued. Hope this helps.

I bought an 09 civic today the guy left the fact out that it needed a wheelbearing I hope it's the rear because it's easier 5o replace than the front .

If you can locate spring loaded hose clamps from Asian cars they're always tightening under pressure by design. Way better when hose rubber is new and pliable, over the decades simply never leak and are effortless to R+R if such a need arises. BMW does some things so wrong by saving .50 cents using their horribly designed permanent hose clamps.
