Thank you Toni!!!!!! I really appreciate tunisian stitch videos so so so much

You explain things so clearly. Thank you for mentioning that it is implied to skip the 1st bar. This will help me read written patterns which confuse me.

This is a very fun stitch. I went a little awry and then i suddenly got it and love it. Tunisian is not as hard as you would think but soooo much fun.

I am so glad to see you again! I have made some squares in Tunisian after not makiing anything Tunisian for 40 years! I had an afghan almost made, and lost the book in a move. Bummer! It ws in the Family Library of Crafts, book 1. I had all of the rest! After years of keeping the strips completed without knowing how to resurrect the pattern, and not realizing I could have ripped out to copy pattern (I have learned a lot more over the years, but avoiding Tunisian!), I am ready to dive in full speed ahead! Thank you for such excellent instructions!

Hi Tony!! I’m so happy to be here with you and friends! I have a request. Will you please show me what stitch I go into when I get to the end of a row and what stitch to go into when starting back? I have quit crocheting several times because my end rows look too short or too long and my project looks like a mess! Thank you for your help. I have to say I just love you and your Mom!

I love this stitch. Could you please tell us the yarn and color when you do these demos please? TY

Hi! The materials used in this demo are listed in the description :-)

I purchased the blanket pattern from your website, but it looks a little different from the photos? I am excited about learning Tunisian Crochet with you! My needles arrived yesterday and hopefully the yarn will arrive before the 11th 😊
@JendolllaАй бұрын
When you pick up your loop , have you tried yarn under instead of yarn over. I wondered if it would make the knit stitches look more even instead of twisted. Would it look more like a clean knit stitch. I'm a complete beginner at Tunisian, but I understand crochet and knit both .

Worth a try! It's not how I do it, but can't hurt :-)

The actual name of that stitch, believe it or not, is called the Tunisian Lace Stitch.

Thank you Toni, is that a reversible pattern? I am trying to understand a yo Tunisian knit stitch that gives you the knit pattern on both sides. I have seen a similar pattern where the return pass is going thru 3 stitches at once, except the forward pass is not well demonstrated. Do you have a tutorial on this? Thank you

Hi! I signed up for the CAL Tunisian Snowy Blanket, but can’t find today’s lesson (11/11/24) - I’m just getting a 404 error message. 🤷🏻♀️ Where is it, please? Thanks!

What is a knit stitch. How do you knit the stitch?
@drumroady1Ай бұрын
It looks like the knit stitch in knitting altho in this pattern, the finished piece will be lighter and quicker to work up than conventional knitting. In knitting, it would be tighter and more dense.
@LindaKNeАй бұрын
@ I don’t knit so I don’t understand what “knit the stitch “ means. Why not just describe what to do with the hook for people who are crocheters only?
@TLYarnCraftsАй бұрын
You insert your hook in the space between the loops of the stitch to make a knit stitch. You can see this stitch on its own in this tutorial - kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZa7k3ejnLBofKssi=xiBW6TgetBXe7aXN

Beginners have no idea what yarn to us or hook size. 🤔
@drumroady1Ай бұрын
Pick a yarn, look at the label and it will tell you the recommended hook size for regular crochet BUT! In Tunisian, we usually go UP 2 hook sizes. That's because Tunisian needs to be done loosely compared to regular crochet. It is up to you and what you want as the artist, as always tho. 😊
@TLYarnCraftsАй бұрын
It's just a demo - you can use whatever yarn and hook you want :-)
