Other professions are looking down their nose at artists but they don't realize that in a few years, they'll be made obsolete as well. AI is coming for everyone and it won't discriminate. I think we're just going to have to make peace with our synthetic overlords.

Man that's insane, and sounds absolutely terrifying. It's so frustrating that they put you on one list just to wait until you're near dead, so you can be put on the ACTUAL transplant list. I've had a few hospital visits and surgeries myself, but never for anything that dangerous. I think I said this on your heart condition video, but it's crazy that so many people are born with bodies that are just like, "Yeah I'm not gonna function in a while and it's for literally no reason"

i got some illnesses too (psychosis, autism, adrenogenital syndrome, lupus and dyslexia) i take 2 different kinds of shots a month. 1 once every 3 weeks and one once every 2 weeks. so its possible but rare that i have 4 shots in a one month. i dont mind the shots other than the fact that the stupid hospital doesnt wanna write me another subscription for one of them because i was supposed to have a check up and i missed it. meaning i wont have one of my meds for 4 weeks because they are too busy

You may not want sympathy, but I'll just say it. Glad you're still with us. I got really anxious to tell my mom when I had suspected kidney failure (which ended up being infection just in the urinary tract since I got to doctors in time) , let alone I'd have to say doctors gave me an "expiration date".

I've been the lead graphics person for a large SoCal church for 32 years. I'm being phased out by 19 year-olds with no training "playing with Canva." That crap is from the bowels of hell, but Gen Z can't appreciate the difference...that is until they try to convert their 72ppi Canva graphics to print media and it looks like shit. But the next iteration of Canva will ask how the art is being used and when the user says "print" Canva will auto upscale it to 400ppi.

Its crappy now, but considering that probably a lot of other people are making their version as well and open source is very promising. Perhaps this is what the gaming industry exactly needs. Nothing stops either Sony or Microsoft and even Nintendo from doing this either..

Does being a graphic designer not give you experience for similar fields that maybe arent as AI dominated?

You guys deserve better, I am not a graphic designer I'm just a 3D artist but seeing someone who has a passion for their work get thrown around in an industry that thinks they can walk all over them is never nice to see.

I found this video because of the title / concept, but I LOVE Halo so it really caught my eye seeing your Halo gameplay :) --- I am so sorry to hear about your job though. I still wouldn't give up as there are jobs that will hire your skillset! It may take applying to 25+ more companies, and you may have to move cities for the job worst case. That is super tricky about your house though. --- Agreed that AI has a lot more destructive power than anything else. Our world was pretty great and creative already, we really didn't need this new AI tech.

Creating small puzzle games with Claude 3.5 Sonnet is fun, yet requires knowledge how coding works to get anything semi-usable. I can imagine anything creating a 3D game with a single prompt is closer to a downloaded template, which requires thousands of hours of additional work to get anything more than janky prototype. If that Render can’t reiterate the “project” with you after initial generated version, then it’s kinda useless.. imho

Brother I feel your pain I am a web development university student and as a part of my curriculum i need to go through a 6 month graduation internship at a company and the amount of rejection email I have gotten that are exactly the same is mind blowing I did manage to score a internship with a pretty good compensation and I am sure you will do the same with an actual position. Keep at it when ur down there is nowhere to go but up!
