That's kind of similar to the way salvage titles work in the states, though I have no idea about how much it would cost to re-certify a salvage title as road worthy. Was there never an option for the Insurance to pay nothing and just get your bike back?

I never thought about it, but i didn't expect to see a tool brand like milwaukee in Australia. I live in milwauke and have a budy who works there

Mistake number one was living in Australia you guys are getting screwed. You need to get an attorney and sue their ass. Go after personal damages to the guy that stole the bike.
@rjeepster86408 сағат бұрын
It would be cheaper to sell it to somebody else and have them register the bike as a used motorcycle and then buy it back from them.

Literally any bike I’ve ever seen would not pass that VIV check. Good thing that’s not a thing in Canada. Plus the legal need for a “tidy tail” (which the factory plastic is not a tidy tail) is not a thing here either.

If you want restitution, take it to civil court and take his personal property if he doesn’t pay

That bike is not worth The time and the effort that you and your girlfriend are putting into it with the money that you’re spending on that bike just go buy another bike like you did for 1800 bucks And it’s only a 250😂

I used to export cars from Japan to Canada and the US. We would NEVER export a car to Australia, they do the VIV and expect recites from all repairs done in Japan before it was exported.

That VIV check is ridiculous. Scratches do not affect road worthiness at all.

"...powered by a *non-turbo* 3.5-liter V6 engine with around 225 horsepower at the rear wheels." First, Mr Cold Fake David, the term is "nATuRALLy ASPiratED" Second, let me rewrite that sentence you said. *ahEM* "Say the 350Z was powered by a 1.3-liter twin-turbo rotary. Now compare that Z with a replica, running on a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6. The only noticeable difference is the two Z's horsepower counts. 225 from the V6 and 280 from the rotary; the difference that's harder to catch? The 280 horsepower is punched out by the rotary. What do we call a 280-horsepower twin-turbo rotary? Potent, that's what."

What I like about this video, is how much it represents real life. You want something, you try to do it and eventually what makes people stop is the problems that come with it. Angry neighbors, wrong crafted parts, councils, mistakes and so on. It is the same with every problem in life.
