This is broken now. Tried to import my Sonic Reality instruments and nothing loaded ,only the headers,no presets or samples.

You have the boss OD2 version of 1987+ Japan, not 1985, because on an early version of OD2, the input and output fonts are different, they are more bolder

You could be right, I think at the time I just used a serial number decoder. BOSS was pretty inconsistent in those times so maybe it's a later version with an earlier serial or an earlier version with the later changes.

The mixed orchestral sounds are my favorites. In 2024, It is hard to believe this instrument is 17 years old. It has been discontinued for several years. I bought the full version of SampleTank 4 a couple years ago, and its library is like 800 gigabytes. On my Mac, I actually only downloaded the 40 or so gigabyte SampleTank 3 library, but I probably would have been fine with the 4(?) gb Sonic Synth 2 library.

This plugin sucks ass. The knob and gain are acting as if they're stepped, but they're not, you're still EQing or trimming inbetween the steps. So not only you have no visual feedback, but you have a misleading visual feedback. It's also buggy. I'm using the 'no-gpu' version because the other one crashes, and I'm constantly getting loud pops while turning the knob. Just don't bother with it and save your speakers and your mixes!

Crank the input till red, slowly bring it back until your ears say where. The hotter the input the deeper the effect (as a result of better signal to noise ratio). This higher bit depth ratio results in deeper enriched louder audio.

Just wait till AA bring it back or sell it as legacy. You can use amp locker (its free) IR loader but its not the same. Most of us fans of Audio Assault have been asking for a new version for a long time.

this review was 7 years ago and was an intel i5 gen4 16gb ddr3 ram. Now the Roland Cloud stuff is slightly better processing wise and I am running an AMD 3700 and 64gb of DDR4 RAM.

the reason there is gain is because of phase shifting. there seems to be no fool proof way to solo bands without causing gain spikes due to phase shifting. even in plugins that have linear phase still cant get a true replication of input to output signal when using multiband processing. its very annoying. lol.
