Crank the input till red, slowly bring it back until your ears say where. The hotter the input the deeper the effect (as a result of better signal to noise ratio). This higher bit depth ratio results in deeper enriched louder audio.

I just ordered one. Considered getting the Angel Wing which is a CE-1. The CE-2 pushes the mids a bit more and I wanted to get into more Johnny Marr territory. Looking forward to the day it arrives.

Did it come with the power supply when you bought it? ive inherited one with no power supply and my other 9v power supplies do not fit and im not sure why. I would really like to know what your power supply says on it if you get a chance.

Just wait till AA bring it back or sell it as legacy. You can use amp locker (its free) IR loader but its not the same. Most of us fans of Audio Assault have been asking for a new version for a long time.

the reason there is gain is because of phase shifting. there seems to be no fool proof way to solo bands without causing gain spikes due to phase shifting. even in plugins that have linear phase still cant get a true replication of input to output signal when using multiband processing. its very annoying. lol.

Hello, i bought same unit from someone. There is sound of guitar but no effects sound - no matter what i press. Its because im missing defeat switch pedal? I found out that look like there a defeat switch that needs to be connected on back to active effects?
@JimijaymesProductions4 ай бұрын
Could be that or a broken mix knob. With a simple switch like that you could try plugging in a guitar cable and just shorting the tip to see if it switches

Thank you so much for the vido! Could you please explain why someone would prefer this EQ over FabFilter Pro Q3? (Sorry, but I just don't understand this analog concept).
@JimijaymesProductions4 ай бұрын
In general in the digital world analog emulations provide two things: particular curves and saturation. The curves may be able to be imitated in a good digital eq like pro q but it might take multiple bands and a lot of time. Particular analog eqs famous for their curves are the neve eq in the 1073 and 1081 preamps, the pultec eqs, APIs eqs. These EQs are tuned to sound a certain way with minimum movements. Also these eq's often have a lot of saturation which affects the sound quite dramatically when pushed. Now a baxandall EQ (like this plugin) is usually very clean because its often used for mastering but a baxandall is another specialised curve, very gentle and subtle. It is probably fairly easy in pro q to get the baxandall shape but it might take a bit of time (I dont use pro q so I am not sure). Generally the way I like to work is using digital eqs to do specific tone shaping and very tight fixing of problem frequencies and then use analog emulation for the broader stuff. You can still get a great mix using just a single high end digital eq as long as it has a lot of parameters to change q, shape and frequency (I use slate digital infinity eq or ssl native x-eq 2).

Some side-chain compression instance to make more room for everything and and it's a good rough mix... Not usually using channel strips... But this would a very usable one! I like it.

It's a review not a tutorial, these free plugin reviews are usually the first time I've used them, it is the point of the video. I recognised i missed/didn't understand a few things straight away (the way the target function worked) , but the basic concepts are there and generally ease of use is part of the review process so if it isn't clear in the plugin (hints, manual etc) its a plugin problem. I still believe I showcased the main features of the plugin at least for my own use case, if you didn't think I did, try it for yourself and see if features I missed work for you.
