In the spirit of learning about bamboo, the sword is actually the correct tool to break bamboo. That's also probably why you're seeing extra durability loss on your axe. **Edit** As noted below, it's actually not causing extra damage to the axe, but it will cause 2 points of damage per break to a sword. The best solution is to just use a piston + slime blocks to insta-break them for free.

Ooh... funny fact about cyberpunk; the most common settings are visually based on Hong Kong and Tokyo - both very hilly places. London and LA are also common settings, although they're far more flat. Point being; even if you flatten the area, it's still good to keep a mountain in the background. Hong Kong used to be far more hilly, but as they flattened it out they dumped the material into the harbour to make reclaimed land. When I used to live in HK they had just finished most of these projects, and they used to joke that Hong Kong "pushed their mountains into the sea so they could build on both". Anyway point being; if the theme is Cyberpunk, don't feel too pressured to keep it flat.
@analogbunny
@analogbunny 7 ай бұрын
Also also... the old Mtv animated series _Æon Flux_ was also a Cyberpunk city on a hill _and_ the city was surrounded by high walls. Obviously not everything needs to be inspired by something, but Cyberpunk dystopias are upkept with major policing networks and security projects. _Blade Runner_ and _Ghost in the Shell_ were focused on police, and _Akira_ and _Johnny Mnemonic_ were focused on criminals. Crime and law enforcement are weirdly central to Cyberpunk stories.

Bdubs then goes on a journey of mastering his nighttime lighting skills, and turning his builds into beautiful pieces of nocturnal art, he no longer is scared of the dark, and doesn’t need to carry a bed with him everywhere he goes. Bdubs has less stress in his life, is happier and we get to benefit from seeing his beautiful storytelling in a twilight sense instead of in the daytime >>>>

I love the impressionistic style you use in your build, the blending of colors, you have such an eye for it. The music suits it so perfectly too. I would love to see you make a weeping willow with a pond.

Bdubs, scaffolding is probably included in all your Bamboo items cause I’ve checked all the permits and there isn’t a scaffolding one!

13:10 It doesn't, it just feels like much because you are using it often in a shot amount of time. Let's say you have a 20x20 patch of Bamboo (which is fairly small) that's already 400 uses (minus Unbreaking) on your axe. For woord this would be like 60-ish small oak trees, which would take a lot longer to chop. This is one of the reason why people often build flying machine farms. Not only is it afkable, but also better to collect with hopper minecarts (since walking is a pain between the one high stems) and it safes a lot of durability on tools.

you dont need the bamboo farm near your shop, but you could have a chest on the roof, where you just drop bamboo, and then inside you would have autocrafters doing the work and stocking the chests. PERFECT REDSTONE

you know what would make this wall even more city like? If you would put lanterns on top of the wall. Love the idea of the graffitis. Reminds me of the Berlin Wall. Its a very similar concept and its amazing

and with lanterns I don't mean the actual Minecraft lantern. I mean like these city streetlight kind of lanterns

The graffity wall idea is brilliant! You've got the mind of an artist! Irl people might want to do some graffity but feel like they shouldn't do it or are afraid of doing it because it's not allowed everywhere etc. So having the opportunity of doing it in Minecraft is beautiful i think.

@@edtuckerartist yes that is true. Careful tho, because as always it will also always stay a subjective opinion wether it is a good or bad artwork.

the music he uses for the cinematic building montages is SO beautiful. it reminds me so much of like, the scene in an apocalyptic movie where the main character steps out to see the beauty of nature reclaiming the world. or something idk

Maybe put a heavily fortified ghost in the shell style checkpoint at joels torii gate. It would tie the two areas together by justifying the different styles: the old traditional stuff is locked off from the dystopian society dwelling below...

I really REALLY love the editing style Bdubs is doing with the kind of B roll footage cut in, such as the shots from far away as he’s just walking somewhere. It feels so cinematic and also really relaxing
