Hello Steve. Happy new year. Great plane. from Dancing Wings Hobby. Also looks a lot like a Boomerang. Steve, I just want to give a tip. Normal when you fly this plane. Basically you have to grab the plane with its left or right wing and throw it a bit like a Boomerang. And of course speed up. then you have less chance of the propeller hitting your fingers or hand. I've experienced it myself and it hurts quite a bit. Steve wishes you a lot of fun. Happy flying 👍😃🛩🎮

@@eugeneaustin Happy New Year! One thing the RC Plane teaches you is that you can FIX/REPAIR anything in the most inventive ways no matter what damage occurs to a plane. Also, Yes very weird about the weather. In my area we go weeks without sun and only Cloud, Wind, Snow, Cold!

Steve, I’ve been watching your videos for a long time now. Kind of “recently”, you started flying planes and helicopters. I would also like to try fixed wing but I have NO idea how to set up a radio ! I actually have some kits and a RadioMaster ready to go, but NO idea how to link them ! Do you have any videos specifically on this subject ??? Thanks for all you do.
@CAPTAINDRONE79816 күн бұрын
I do not have videos on setting up radios for planes, only for drones. Setting up for a plane is somewhat similar. The reason I have never made any for planes is because I only fly planes using a SPEKTRUM radio, and there are tones of videos on how to setup a SPEKTRUM radio to a SPEKTRUM receiver.

Yes, plenty of viewers think that of all people on KZbin that review products. But reality is that many of us sell off what we review so that we can buy further items to review. I have a small storage area, so items I don’t use often all get sold. I made a video about this not too long again that explains the entire process (it is one of my “ASK CAPTAIN DRONE” videos).

Good assembly tut... 3:37... I'm pretty sure that the wood is 3 ply plywood and not Balsa Steve. Balsa would be too soft and not stiff enough for those parts
@CAPTAINDRONE79817 күн бұрын
You may be correct. In Canada, at all the RC Fields I attend, we all call BALSA and PLYWOOD that comes in cut out sections as “BALSA” because we are used to only two types of planes (FOAMIE and BALSA).

For anyone who has flown an RC Plane and knows what a RECEIVER is, what SERVOS are, what a RADIO is and how to set it up, and what a LIPO BATTERY is & how to CHARGE it, then the BUILD IT and FLY IT kits are Super Popular. @@shemoe99 Check your local craft store. That is where I purchased mine. Craft stores are big on glue guns and people doing crafts need the glue to stick to fabric, wood, metal, plastic, cardboard, foam, so they often have a wide range of glue sticks. Often times, you may find the glue stick you want, but it is either too large or too small for your glue gun, so you often need to own two or three sizes of glue guns.

there is ALWAYS at least one weird thing in a commercially designed model airplane. 044 chamfers at the elevon ends equals stoopid. a control surface should have the shape of a parallelogram. the short elevon pushrods suggests that the mass of the servos is less-than optimally located. 308 strangely shaped vert-stabs. 332 the center section/fuselage should have a symmetrical profile. 415 each wing half should have a spar located at thirty percent of chord. 550 elevon control horns are NOT correctly located.!!! consequently, you are not getting a normal amount of control surface deflection. when a control surface is in its neutral position, the control horn pivot point should be located 'directly' above/below the hinge line.! 1000 a correctly spec'd electric prop is quiet.
@CAPTAINDRONE79816 күн бұрын
You really need to look at the PRICE of this unit. It is NOT designed for 3D flying but as shown in the video, it flies, and if anyone has skills and wishes to turn it into a 3D high performance Wing, that is super simple to do.
