With shiplap you don't remove the board or replace the boards by pulling out, you instead remove the shed trim and then slide them after using metal poking tool and hammer in the existing nails to get them out of the way. Those old nails can stay there and you just nail the new boards in a slightly different location.

Ohh its called Shiplap? I was calling it slat wood panels, I need to replace some of My slats, or Shiplap boards to.

Hmmm i suppose you could perhaps drop a zener diode between the gates? That way the P channel gate becomes offset toward the positive rail and the N channel gate goes to the negative rail, the downside is that your mosfets are being driven less meaning you now have to balance shoot-through with RDSon for your new drive voltages

I am a pretty green with.ic's and what not. although I have learned NEVER skimp on flux. weather installing or removing. I can see you have oxidation, flux will fix that and also help transfer heat better! I am just getting to figure these hings out more and more! .Hope it helps. though this is 3 years old? OI also use a normal brilo pad , along with tip tiner. keeping the tip covered at all times is key to not needing to 86 your tip and loose interest in soldering all together like I have in he past!t only thing is cheap store bought brilo oxidase fast, they are dime a dozen though!~ if I ever get round to it I will get a nice cleaning kit...

This is the "shoot-through effect". It's necessary to add a dead-time between both gates conducting time. You can do it of course with some parts, but also with dedicated PWM gate drivers.

You did not point out that this device is an ancient design that is a PITA to use. That whole business with downloading the file... and having to do i every 4 months before the data disappears? C'mon. Why cant it be easily connected to my network, like an IOT device? It's just ancient, and you should not give it a free pass for that.

Hey Adam. Got a friend with 5 tracers and he wants to monitor solar. I know I could use the parallel adapter and pc app, but he wanted to use the android app. Eleven said there is a 1M6S for connecting multiple mppt’s to a single WiFi adapter but cannot find it anywhere. Are you aware of a way to it? Thanks. Mark

Also if your aim was garden light. I think a bit of diffusing layer from say a TV backlight inside of that clear plastic would help spread the light out more. I'll see if I can find one of those boxes. Seems handy. I would of put the panel inside of it

Thank you for mentioning the diode in the IC. That was my main problem when I first found a broken garden light on the side of the road. Since I just want them to charge my nimh cells. Is there a problem leaving the load disconnected? I just have it floating on the recent garden panel I found. It has a 5252F IC which is pretty similar.

I did notice its easy to put a battey in the wrong way around, but with 12v it doesn't matter as much because it just doesn't work, so a short circuit owuld just make the 12v into 7.4v??

interesting, i have an 18v /25w solar panel, so the smaller mppt board would put out the required 12.6v to charge the 3s battery pack?, or would i still need a 3s bms board too? thanks . i just want to be sure as i have had a fire with a 3s before lol....
