For someone as smart as Petersom, its disappointing that he conflats equality and sameness. First of all feminists do not desire as an outcome of equality that everyone becomes the same. On the countrary feminists want people in general to have the greatest freedom to be as different, as diverse as possible, and removing the societal structures that force people into specific predetermined boxes, encourages them to be more similar. Even if once those structures are removed people stay in the roles they were forced into, weve still improved things by giving them the freedom to change if they wish. And providing that freedom to be unique, creates equality and is created by equality. The message is always equal but different.

What annoys me is that people who are "offended" by this kind of thing don't even belong to the race they're offended on behalf of.
