Gerudos are not a viable species. With only one male born every 100 years, there would not be enough fertile women for him to continue the species by the time he matures. Even if he procreated up to his final day, at 100 years old (he would have to live to be at least 100 to give birth to his own son), it would be another 20 years before he can mature. He could only couple with his close siblings, as every other female would have reached menopause. It's a downward spiral of population decline, and that assumes the one male mates with every viable female every year for his entire life. Even with interbreeding, they would be dilluted in about 10 generations to nonexistence.

to me, dq11 made three timelines: 1 where eleven went back in time and left a broken world without a hero, 1 where he went back in time and was able to stop the fall of ygdrassil, and 1 where serenica went back in time to be with erdwin, and i think the erdrick trilogy follows the 2nd timeline, the one where Eleven stops the fall, and the sword of light/kings being broken in dq3 coincides with Serenica breaking it to go back in time. The first timeline is probably followed by the zenithian timeline, one where their broken sword of light becomes the zenithian sword, as for the third timeline? no idea, could be part of 9/10's timeline since those 2 aren't connected to the other stories like the erdrick and zenithian trilogies are.
@PixelFusionProductionsАй бұрын
It's an interesting idea to try and link the Zenithian games (4, 5, and 6) into them as a potential branch in time. I don't think it really works though. I've been thinking more about it, especially after rewatching the scenes when Eleven is going back in time. The game seems contradictory because, on the one hand, the characters all behave like Eleven will disappear from their world never to come back. As though by going back in time, and changing his course, he is flowing to a different outcome, but the reality he came from remains. However, the game states that time is rewritten, as though the act of going back undoes the world they came from, and a new reality is formed from the changes that are made. If it was the former, where the person disappears from their world and follows a different path in time based on their choices, then Serenica going back doesn't change Eleven's world or rewrite history. It merely means she disappeared and a new reality where she and Edwin are happy was created. Either way, I believe that DQ 3 is meant to follow from her tampering with time, by either overwriting the timeline with a new one (and thus undoing all the events of your journey in DQ11), or by the creation of a new reality alongside the others where she saved him, and their stories were passed down. Perhaps I should do a longer video on this in the future. Sadly, this video, which I poured lots of time into, is doing very poorly.

To confirm point 1: The Luminary is named the first "Erdrick" in DQ11's true ending, in DQ3-HD this is reinforced when you are named Erdrick after the defeat of Zoma as the king references the ancient hero. (Confirming DQ11 is a prequel to DQ3.)
@PixelFusionProductionsАй бұрын
The mystery is more rooted in if the event of 11 actually happened, or if it was overwritten when Serenica went back in time. If she altered time to save him, them the events of 11 were undone and, and Edwin would be the first Erdrick. Again, things are not clear.
@MarthSRАй бұрын
To add to point #1: In Aliahan castle, in the northwestern section, there is a map of Erdrea on a wall. The geography pattern on that map matches exactly act 1/3 Erdrea's geography. Why would Aliahan have that map in their castle? Plus, there's more to the Forging Hammer. Where was it last seen in DQ11? Hotto. Where is it found in DQ3? Jipang. After forging the Supreme Sword of Light in DQ11, the Hotto swordsmith sells a sword based on the Sword of Light called... the Sword of Kings. Which is the exact same design as DQ3's. If we entertain for a minute that DQ3's world is a geographically altered Erdrea in the far future, it stands to reason that the people of Hotto may have gradually migrated to what is Jipang, while upholding a measure of their tradition, culture (ie: Haiku speak), and perhaps ancestral knowledge when it comes to swordsmithing. Which would explain the knowledge of Kol's Jipangese blacksmith of the Sword of Kings... something none in Alefgard has ever heard of, if we go by DQ3HD2D. Plus, overlap Erdra and the DQ3HD2D upper world maps. Yggdrassil is located roughly in the same area on both maps. As for point 7... I'll be that guy: I think it's the DQ1 hero and Gwaelin, not the DQ3 Erdrick and Rubiss. She gave the DQ1 protagonist, who is a direct descendant of Erdrick, an item which... aside from acting like a GPS, did the exact same thing as the Descendant's Orb. Given it's DQ2, taking place a century after DQ1, their children have founded the kingdoms of Midenhall, Cannock, and Moonbroke after Gwaelin decided to leave Tantegel with the DQ1 protagonist. That has been documented as early as the NES days, and it makes sense in a way, as their children are basically fulfilling one of the DQ1 protagonist's ambitions. "I cannot take the throne. If I am to rule a kingdom, it will be one that I myself found." The DQ1 hero's parting words with King Lorik.
@PixelFusionProductionsАй бұрын
You raise some pretty good points. Regarding Erdrea and the map in Aliahan, I noticed it recently myself and saw another youtuber talk about it. It is interesting they included it and draws further questions about the nature of Aliahan in this world, questions I'm not ready to try to answer yet. As for the location of the tree in Asia that I speculate could be this world's Yggdrasil, I don't think they are the same. If anything, the location of Erdrea's Yggdrasil I think would most likely line up with the Dragon Queen's palace, which subsequently means the Dragon Queen may be the new incarnation of the Ygg Dragon. I would need to overlay the maps and see, but keep in mind that east and west of the maps may not line up correctly. This would make the most sense to me and might imply that the holy power of the Orb of LIght was the same power in the heart of Yggdrasil in 11. That is just speculation obviously. I had actually forgotten that Gwealin's Love let you save your game. I suppose her voice could be the one in the orb from 2, I had not considered that. Right now, I'm more inclined to say it is Rubiss though, and that is in part because I want to do a video about Rubiss in the future. Maybe, for Valentines day. As for Hotto and Jipang being the same? I'm not so sure about that. If we try to assume regional dialects moved from Erdrea to Earth over time, then we would have to question all the other dialects too. Considering the dialects are an English thing, and not in Japanese, or at least... not nearly as distinct, I think it is a bit too much of a leap of logic to use the language as the connection. However, the Hammer moving with the same family over generations seems feasible. I may have to revisit this later, but right now, this video is doing very poorly. If I want to recapture the momentum my channel had, I fear Dragon Quest videos will not be common on here, even if it is one of my favorite franchises.

I feel that there are female gorons but they're indistinguishable is a better explanation. Technically they're not human, just like dwarves we as humans feel the need as a majority to distinguish male and female but if someone writes a beautiful detailed fantasy world I find it more intriguing that indistinguishable is better in a different fantasy race in general.
@PixelFusionProductionsАй бұрын
Sorry for my late response. TotK shines light in this more, which came out after my video. They reveal that Gorons are birthed from the mountain. The implications is that at some point in their life cycle, they choose to go there to procreate, and from that, new Gorons grow. If that is all true, then this implies they are actually Asexual. As such, the concept of gender would be entire social for them, and given the terms we see used in Japanese, that would be generally male. If there were female Gorons them, it would be entirely by choice and not due to biology.

The skylands were created as trials for the hero out of ganons reach. Don't know why the depths are inverted. The animal Lords are different zonai tribes. All the dragons are previous zonai. They have the same hair as rauru and mineru. The zonai went extinct because the majority became dragons. Blupees become bubbulfrogs because they're unable to attain enlightenment and their greed causes them to be corrupted by the gems. I didn't know the blood moon affected cooking. Probably just a gameplay thing and not part of the story The ghosts are victims of the calamity. It's their weapons they used in life. Koutake and koume are not the same people from past games. Just another case of reused names. The dueling peaks aren't in the depths. The hebra hole? I haven't noticed it in the depths. Perhaps an oversight by the devs It's just a gameplay excuse to prevent you going beyond the desert. The colloseums were for zonai entertainment. They were a barbaric people who conquered through force and entertained themselves through combat. Bargainer statues have some sort of connection to hylia. The one in lookout landing is the odd one out Yes the dragons were all zonai. Even all the skeletons in the depths and the surface The goddess sword is a non canon item. It's there as a gameplay quirk like the rest of the legendary items. It doesn't canonically exist in the world since it's the master sword The final battle was invisible Zelda was restored through recall. Zelda didn't travel back 10,000 years. It was 50,000 years as there have been several calamities Don't know about the garden of time Rauru going to the sky can be explained by him knowing it's too dangerous to keep link on the surface while he recovers The imprisoning chamber was constructed as a trap. The platform uses the same hover tech as the skylands. The pyramid above ganon is the source of all sheikah tech The purification unit transforms gloom into ancient energy. The excess gloom is leftover as waste and becomes Malice Astral observatory was built ontop of the purification unit as an access point to ancient energy

That's not the case, WW Link is just a boy. The purpose of the story is to show that a normal person can full the role of a hero, and doesn't need to be bound by destiny. Granted, they jump through the hoops to make him fill that role, but he is not the reincarnation of the Hero if Time. The Hero of Time and his reincarnation cycle was broken by Zelda at the end of a Ocarina. The prologue for the game makes this very clear. The Hero of Time (or a new hero) failed to appear leading to calamity.
