I really wish I could have explored Winnipeg more when I was there this summer for the first time. A very charming city.

Great videos, as always. It looks like I am driving. Great post. Even though Winnipeg is the worst city I've ever lived in, the video is good.

Another awesome video TransCanada Phil. 😊. I've always been interested in the Prairies, there's a lot more to see than what people say. Maybe, just maybe you should come to the Maritime provinces and make a video for the Western viewers to enjoy as I always do when you put a video on about the beautiful Prairie provinces.

Watching this video going down memory lane while living in Winnipeg between 1961 - 1971. Looks like the roads are in better condition then what we currently have in Calgary! Bad roads and bad water infrastructure! The individual mostly responsible for it all, now wants to be the premier of Alberta!

7:15 I definitely feel at home in open land too. I might live in a big city (the Dallas-Fort Worth area) and I appreciate what the big city has to offer... but I always love me a nice trip across open grasslands. It makes me sad to see the fairly-open grasslands on the west side of Fort Worth get paved over with suburbia.

I saw that you posted a new video and wasted no time in watching, Phil. I have a somewhat goofy takeaway... Has anyone ever tried excavating on or near that rockfall? I'd bet there must be a treasure-trove of old artifacts buried there. It'd be a daunting task, though.
@TransCanadaPhil7 ай бұрын
My understanding is they’ve left it largely intact. There is a whole museum and stuff located right there now dedicated to the disaster. Unfortunately I didn’t visit it. I should next time.

The slide is in a Restricted Development Area that was created by the Alberta Government. There are still human remains that have never been recovered from the slide area, so disturbing that for any reason would be highly insensitive. But, the CPR (now CPKC) line and Highway 3 have had some rock moved for small expansions over the years and the future twinning of Highway 3 calls for some rock to be moved.
