I see this is before Tears, unfortunately that game show why the Triforce can't be house in Zelda. The Triforce does not like duplication of itself hence why the Courage part randomly vanish when Young Link return with that piece. It goes out of it way to make sure only one of it self exist at one given time. I think the Triforce Symbol is more related to the Blood of the Goddess, she the protector of the Triforce she might just have very strong connection to it. Buuuut everything else is sound, in theory. No really holes just depend of your interpretation of some of the stuff, like if your dead sent of the merger being impossible. Cool vid still.

Funnily enough, Revalli has always been my favorite character. He seemed so full of life. Don't get me wrong, I loved the other 3 champions as well, but Revalli always was my favorite. It's a bit of why I love Riju so much in TotK. She too has her insecurities and does what it takes to overcome them. Riju however has support where Revali didn't, and when it becomes clear that she can't overcome it normally, she too isolates herself. Overall, I think that the designers of Revalli's charecter did very well. Fantastic insight into what I loved about him and exactly why my dad disliked him when he played the game. Thanks for the amazing video!

The part that bothers me about this is Zelda being captured. Sounds like a normal thing, but each time she was captured, specifically in a crystal, she was either used to bring back Ganon, captured to take the Triforce of Wisdom, etc. Where is the Triforce in this game? Does it occur in the Era of Myth? Ganon traps her behind enchanted flames in the Original Zelda game, and she didn't have her triforce piece. If we use Mario as a reference, Peach is captured as a romantic ideal for Bowser but she is also captured because she uses heart power, which counters Bowser's power. If Zelda had "her sacred power" as she does in BotW or TotK, Ganon is literally waiting when Link sneaks up to him. Ganon has eyes everywhere in lore, so maybe he knew he was coming, but if he was after something, I know if I was I wouldn't wait around. The Master Sword aspect of this is intriguing as the sword we see looks similiar to Zonai technology. The Zonai are not seemingly present in this title, so perhaps a story a couple generations after Rauru and Sonia? The sword seems nonexistent in Rauru's founding as the sages sort-of tried to corner him without even a hero. So, did the hero exist then? The Hero Aspect shows us that at one time the hero was either Zonai or the Zonai created the aspect to resemble the hero, which ironically is what Zonai tech tends to do and uses magic to fuel it (batteries that recharge themselves and bam, you shot lasers at a Lynel). This game is intriguing as Tri is the only "weapon" Zelda seems to have at her disposal. Enemies exist in the world for her to take on seemingly without other magic. The map is similiar to Link to the Past, with extra areas. Tri seemingly appears out of nowhere, probably sought Zelda to intervene with the rift she would otherwise be swallowed in if it didn't. Maybe Tri is the spirit of the Triforce in a sense, as to guard an object from evil, one good way to secure it is to give it spirit and let it protect itself. The golden goddesses could have intervened again or Zelda, the King, somebody made a wish to permenantly secure it, as we already saw Ganondorf function without it in the battlefield to seek. This kingdom has repeatedly seen evil take over because its relic fell in the wrong hands. The sacred realm could have been sealed off completely after empowering the good guys in this tale that rhymes in its history. Zelda is the mortal incarnation of Hylia afterall, it only makes sense to either seal it in the royal bloodline for good or seal it away in a way where nobody can touch it, as Ganondorf either didn't know about it in TotK or BoTW for that matter or it was impossible for him to acquire it. Ganon could have been revived just to capture Zelda, as he had one botched ritual at one point due to Link killing Twinrova (how they returned from beyond the grave was definitely secretive if Ganon did it). There are many unanswered questions in the timeline and how characters function. The Sheikah for example may not be present in this game strangely enough but in TotK, they didn't have a sage unless you believe the Zonai were Sheikah. PS: I got curious and digged around on the Wiki. What if we are not looking at the right place of history? Ganon has periodically wielded a trident. The inscription of it in Four Swords Adventures says it either contains an evil spirit or demons. What if the trident is its own entity, and Ganon was the puppet and still will be, as the same trident is seen as a sign of its wielder being "the demon king reborn" as Zelda put it.
@master_atlas
@master_atlas 7 күн бұрын
Personally I do not believe the Zonai were Sheikah or vice-versa, as both may be similiar, but we know little of Zonai history besides their technological advancements, and it seems neither did Rauru, Sonia, or Mineru at their time. Perhaps the tech turned the denizens into savages, using tech to be an unbeatable force until they themselves annihilated their entire race seemingly (an example would be if our civilization had nuclear war occur). In terms of Echoes of Wisdom, Hyrule has seen many uprisings to glory and falls from grace with only its own history left behind to crumble unnoticed. How long do civilizations last on our planet? Would we notice if lizardpeoples once lived here? Could we say they are gone or in hiding, similiar to the Sheikah? Could we say they seemingly disappeared without a trace? Perhaps. However one thing that has stayed true is the blood of Hylia, as that has successfully passed on in every instance, even if Ganon couldn't rise alone or the hero disappeared for good.

Revali's Gale being "Revali's Ferocity" in Japanese also does explain why the English version seems out of place, given that all of the other Champion abilities are also named after emotional state of being, and how it exposes the likely thing that drives their respective mindset. Revali's Ferocity being tied to his strong willed determination to succeed, Urbosa's Fury suggesting she has a strong sense of anger that she focuses towards using lightning, Daruk's Protection being tied to his sense of protectiveness of others, and Mipha's Grace related to her compassion to heal others. The English version (probably not intentionally) ends up resulting in the ability feeling more akin to a tool, an ability as opposed to a state of mind or being that drives each Champion, which only further distances Revali from the rest of the Champions except ironically Link, if your postulation about Flurry Rush being his Champion ability is true.

There's a Trope on TV Tropes literally called 'Hijacked by Ganon. I wonder if this is what is happening in the game... but with a twist where Ganon isn't the one hijacking another villain's plot in this. Rather, it's another more powerful old enemy, perhaps Vaati... or perhaps even Majora (or maybe both), who's hijacked Ganon as the 'Big Bad' in this new Zelda game..?

That's an interesting possibility i've been pondering too given the Hyrule shown in the trailer ressembling the one from Four Swords Adventures and by extension suggesting the game takes place in the Child Timeline. Very hyped to find out what connections (if at all) Echoes of Wisdom makes to either of the 3 split timelines.

Despite being an expansion of Zelda 1's map we still have no idea where Hyrule Castle and it's Castle town we see in the Zelda 2 art is located. Returning to the Z1/Z2 overworld would've been a refreshing change.

I wouldn't say he's been "tricked" (would Ganondorf be dumb enough to let himself be fooled by another villain?) but rather "brainwashed" into serving whoever is directly _controlling_ him through a magic spell of some kind. "Ganon" might help Zelda fight against this new threat not out of empathy but a desire for revenge after been controlled like a puppet.

Also, here’s some more depressing facts! Wherever the champions spirits appear, are where they died. So I think Revali was shot out of the air, and then the killing blow was delivered while he was flightless on the ground. Or it was a one and done hit. Also, Mipha dies against the wall. She was either impaled, or maybe worse, bled out. I cry whenever a beat the divine beasts. I can’t help it (it’s my 15 year old ass’s hormones).

Revali is also my favorite character, and I wish we could've seen more of him. I was thinking of the Idea of a Rival throughout the game, fighting him each time you come close to approaching a Divine beast, except his. In my idea, He would've beat Windblight, and still have control over the beast, but dies to age. Revali only helps if you fight him in a duel, determining which one of the two is better at combat. he would bud in every now and then, giving some light pointers the more far ahead link gets through the game. Afterall, it would make *slight* sense of him being able to beat it. We've seen him train tirelessly from the DLC, and he clearly has the skills to beat windblight. ...if it wasn't night time.

Revali’s birth is very significant to his character. As far as I’ve seen, he has no family of any sort that can support or encourage him, and after he dies, he’s almost completely forgotten. He wanted to build the flight range to help future generations, he created Revali’s Gale to make the Rito more capable and powerful, he dedicated himself completely to his people, and yet they forgot him. In Breath of the Wild only the elder, Teba, and Heath remember anything about him unlike Mipha who’s a martyr with her own statue and has a city of people that mourn her death. By the time Totk rolls around, he’s mostly remembered as the rito champion while Mipha is still being honored and celebrated (as well as Daruk and Urbosa). Revali is selfless, hardworking, and brave, yet his facade made people both in-game and irl dismiss him as a jerk that’s not as honorable or noteworthy as the other champions. Another point worth noting is his death in conjunction with his memory Revali’s Flap. In the memory he notes that Link has no way of making it up to Divine Beast Van Medoh on his own, and in his final moments, Revali knows that he has no chance of salvation. There is no backup or support coming for him. The only people that could help are the other Rito, and who would dare try to combat an enemy that even the Great Revali was struggling with? He was completely isolated in his final moments, with no loved ones to miss him or even think of him in his dying moments. Revali was a prodigy that lived a lonely life and died full of regrets. Today I replayed his illusory battle with Medoh and he asked how Rito village was doing. He said “I can’t fathom that it’s been 100 years… There’s no one left who would even know me. But even so, it will always be my home.” There is no quote of his that more perfectly encapsulates his tragedy than this, this lonely, selfless bird whose path left him with nothing.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think its established that only champions can enter devine beasts. Rito reinforcement could not come to help him if they wanted. In Age of Calamity the power of the little guardian lifts that restriction.
