The Ninja 500 is a nice upgrade

Shout out to "Coop" and the boys that came down to Plano Kawasaki with the Kawasaki "Let the good times roll" demo truck. Its always fun to test ride these awesome bikes and I really appreciate Kawasaki for letting it happen.

I picked myself up a Ninja 500 last month. And I would have actually preferred it being called a Ninja 450. Sounds cooler imo.

I bought without abs . Which one do you like better and why?

I prefer non abs because that’s what I’m used to and it’s better on track and it also saves money. ABS is good for people learning to ride or who ride in all types of conditions but I’ve only ever found it to reduce my ability to brake fast. Some brands make their abs systems better than others, my only ABS experience is with my Yamaha and I’m considering removing it.

There's just something about the 500 that makes veteran bikers giggle. Guys that are used to liter bikes hopping on a 451CC never expect it to actually do what they tell it to. No, first gear won't go 80MPH, but it really doesn't need to. And I think they called it the 500 instead of 450 is because of some Chinese trademark or something?

Why do you say that ABS is awful?

At least on the one bike I’ve owned that has it it engages way too easily and causes my braking ability to suffer even on dry straight roads. I’ve heard it’s less noticeable on some brands more than others but I’m not a fan of it.

Noo the n500 it's pretty classy it'll go like 118 stock and it's extra light. Pretty great upgrade.

After riding the CB500F for 24k miles it got a little old. I think if I had bought the ninja I would have enjoyed it longer but at the end of the day all bikes are awesome.
