Thanks Jenn , I’ll keep pointing my toes outwards , it is so much easier on my knees . Yes the word was tibialis , I didn’t know the translation in English ❤

Thanks Jen , watching from Spain . I do the yogi squat like you , with my toes pointing outwards as it feels easier for my knees , but my personal trainer tells me to point my toes to the front as in the other position it won’t stretch my tibial … could you pls clarify ? Thanks ❤
@jenbellyoga26 күн бұрын
This is a great question. I guess for clarification, what is your trainer referring to as your "tibial." If they're referring to the anterior tibialis it's not being stretched at all in dorsiflexion (moving your toes toward your shin). The anterior tibialis is responsible for making that action possible, but while squatting, it puts the muscle in a passive shortened position, allowing the muscle to relax. And pointing your toes forward in line with your knees isn't necessarily wrong; it wouldn't be a classical malasana, and it might be harder on some people's knees and ankles, as you suggested. Please feel free to email me to continue this conversation. If there isn't a link in the about section here you can contact me through my website.

Hi, @Jen Bell Yoga. I am analyzing your youtube channel. your video content is very good. But video views are too low. Because your video is not SEO. Title, description, keywords are not SEO friendly. No rank tag, no channel tag. SEO will increase both video views and subscribers organically.

@jenbellyoga Can you please share the name of the color of your Manduka Pro you're sitting on? I looked for the same cream color but it's not showing on the website. Do you know the specific color?
@jenbellyoga11 ай бұрын
Hi! The color was "Sand" but it's from late 2022, and I don't currently see it on the website. They do put out new colors throughout the year so keep checking back to see if they offer another light color. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Not sure if i need a slippy or sticky mat. I am purley training for middelsplit and front. I can get in both just need to buiöd strength in the ranges. What would u go for? I dont care abour weight. I will train inside in my room.
@jenbellyoga Жыл бұрын
You might want something that's a little sticky but not TOO sticky. I would either do a manduka pro or any of the "open cell" mats like TVLA, middle earth, bhoga, or liforme. Hope that helps!

Thanks for giving some insight here. How did you go about breaking in your manduka pro mats? Mine is what seems like dangerously slippery despite several salt scrubs, full sun every day and practicing for a few weeks now.
@jenbellyoga Жыл бұрын
Are you doing full sun outside? If not try tat. That has been the quickest way for me to break in mine. The newer white one I have in the video I have yet to take outside, and it's still a little slick after 3 salt scrubs. Once the pollen clears up here I'll lay it on my deck for a solid week to get it grippy. Let me know if that helps!
