I'm using dinning table as houce bench and it is very resistant. Also bed is really good, but do not try barbell bench press on bed, trust me you might get hurt

My best was three separate workouts where I did a pyramid up to 400 for 1 rep. My lifetime goal has been reached. My quick tips -Bench more frequently: if you aren't benching 4+ plates you're likely not training at a level that necessitates more than 2 rest days. Bench 3x a week Bench day 1: normal bench, touch and go. This is where you pyramid (bar, 95, 135, 185, 205, 225, 255/275 then do your heaviest weight. Example 315. Then go down and do your reps and sets. Going to around max up on a pyramid will prime your muscles to lift heavier for more reps on 80-90% lifts (. Insert numbers as they apply to you) Day 2. Tempo bench press (controlled slower reps and accessories like spoto, CGBP, long eccentrics, wide grip, so on) Day 3: speed and light bench Basically working on explosive benching making sure your form is good and getting all that blood flow into the muscle this will serve as the powerlifting bench day. you can modify this one but I prefer to have the speed day in. Explosive reps if you go heavy, but ideally stay light weight - try gaining 10 lb or more When I was 200 lb I could bench 400 lb at 165 I could only bench 325. Sounds crazy but the more mass you have on your body The more mass you'll be able to move in general. Unless you have a super good strength coach or you're going to put in a really really really really really really long time which you should be doing anyway, you are going to need to add weight to your body to add weight to the bar. -practice benching more Benching is chin ups is push ups is any lift. Skill is a large component. Keep your form good, I recommend frequency of three times a week if you are benching under 400, twice a week if benching over 400. Find out what works best for you some people have sworn by benching four days a week. You need to find out what works I'm too lazy to type out the rest I want to play video games before I go to sleep and am benching tomorrow lol

for my fellow calisthenics bros: -Pull ups (brace your core, that will increase lat activation more than you think) - Adv Tuck Front Lever pull ups (these focus more on your back density and stuff) - One Arm pull ups (if you cant do em, then do commando pull ups or OAP negatives) - Full Front Lever Pull ups (these focus a bit more on your lats and mid back, shifting the emphasis a bit lower than the Adv tuck) I recommend doing around 2-3 sets per exercise, this is how i would split my stuff: - 2 sets of pull ups - 3 sets of adv tuck pull ups - 2 sets of OAPs - 2 sets of full FL pull ups try to keep your total sets below 10 to prevent doing junk volume, and you could even do just 3 exercises if you want (which is what I would personally do, removing the adv tuck and increasing my sets on the regular pull ups and the full FL)
