for my fellow calisthenics bros: -Pull ups (brace your core, that will increase lat activation more than you think) - Adv Tuck Front Lever pull ups (these focus more on your back density and stuff) - One Arm pull ups (if you cant do em, then do commando pull ups or OAP negatives) - Full Front Lever Pull ups (these focus a bit more on your lats and mid back, shifting the emphasis a bit lower than the Adv tuck) I recommend doing around 2-3 sets per exercise, this is how i would split my stuff: - 2 sets of pull ups - 3 sets of adv tuck pull ups - 2 sets of OAPs - 2 sets of full FL pull ups try to keep your total sets below 10 to prevent doing junk volume, and you could even do just 3 exercises if you want (which is what I would personally do, removing the adv tuck and increasing my sets on the regular pull ups and the full FL)

I think deciding between failure sets and non failure sets should come down to the amount of progress you can make in weight and reps each week or month. If you're plateauing with one of these approaches, try the other one and see if it helps you progress again.

Hello! I have a question what if you hit your protein goal for today but your still hungry should you eat more? Because I am trying to lean bulk but I still get confused if i get hungry and should still eat even though i hit my protein goal for that day. Main question is should I keep eating even though i already had enough protein for me to not lose muscle? I am scared to lose muscles knowing that im going to sleep hungry but I already hit my protein goal.

Do u recommend doing 2 back workout per week where one focuses on lower back and the other upper?
@iamchino5524
@iamchino5524 Жыл бұрын
tbh, I would do 2 back workouts per week, but I don't really consider "lower back" as part of my back routine, so I focus on mid-upper back. If you do legs and do RDL and Back Squat I think that's enough stimulus (taking into account that most free weight rows also need the lower back to stabilize). If you see that it is a very weak point you can add Good Mornings, Hip Thruts and/or Back Extension (prepare for a butt pump)

@evethesecond7262
@evethesecond7262 Жыл бұрын
I think bringing the bar down to the chest, for women, affects the waistline. If an hourglass figure is desired, do lat pull downs towards the back, not the chest. Just a theory.
@gigachadmum7002
@gigachadmum7002 Жыл бұрын
If you want an hourglass body, the glutes and lats are what you want so do it towards the chest not back cause it takes the stimulus away from the lats and furthermore stoping the hourglass illusion
@evethesecond7262
@evethesecond7262 Жыл бұрын
@@gigachadmum7002 but that is a theory as well. I am not seeing that in lifters who aim towards the chest, as their waist has disappeared. If you take a look at the affected muscles, they are affected all the way to the waistline. The only way to reach those points is to do the pull down towards the back, like it used to be. Why did they make the lat pull down switch anyway? I always did them towards the back.

its basically doing a workout with low easy weight that will just warm up your muscles . you do it before doing a working set, which is when you use heavier weight so theres actually resistance. a working set is the workout.
