Man, I might could weld, if I could see my puddle like this. All I can see is like looking straight into a LED headlight at night!

The Argonians saw us using CO2 and helium for shielding gas back in the 20's and offered a trade. They provided clear cup technology amongst others, and we would switch to Argon shielding and buy it from them. To this day those deep voiced bastards stack dimes every time you stack dimes.

They use 6G because in 5G you can weld both sides using the same body positioning/hand support. In 6G you most likely have to switch hands to weld the other side or really contort yourself over the pipe, which would not be possible in a real world setting.

Stupid asses leave the aluminum in the water jet and let it marinate. Helium/argon mix is my nemesis. You get the weld perfect on one bottle, then the bottle runs out. You get a new bottle only leave gray sooty welds

Anthony, I am completely beginner and I am confused by which type of welder to buy, and whether those "chinese welders" on Amazon are worth it. I will predominantly be welding angle iron or square steel tube. I have access to alot of free 1.5x1.5 1/4 angle. My thoughts at the moment are to buy an older, very basic used lincoln arc welder (which can be had for 4-5 hundred $. I believe 250A is plenty for 1/4 stock. I don't have a big budget for a saw so for now I plan to use an angle grinder or even hack saw for coped 90s. What do you think? Is this sufficient to beging or should I invest in MIG or TIG from the get go? I just want very strong welds. I don't plan to move out of the relationship of steel. Thanks, and keep the seminars coming!

I have been welding for 20 years and doing open route Aluminum pipe. I never realized you could get penetration slamming the pipes together without purging. I ran a coupon and passed it my first try. Best welding video ever.Thank you so much

Years ago bad gas was rare, but then as companies got bought out and merged cylinders and less people care about quality, now every cylinder I get I immediately hook it up and test it on aluminum, if its bad I'll switch back and forth a couple times to make sure it isn't something I did wrong. About 20% are bad!
