Very cool application and awesome to see you built your own mount for it!

At 8:35 there is a burr/ledge on the edge of the tube, just to the right of your thumb. It’s like an incomplete cut. I get these on my Evolution rage saw and thought it was just my saw blade, but I see it on yours as well which is a nicer saw than mine. Maybe it’s just an issue with wider saw blade kerf? I wind up using the bandsaw for miters so that I don’t have to sand them flat.

Ya it happens on every piece cut from most saws. Its because the piece starts falling and weakens enough to break off before the blade can cut it. I personally like to sand every piece anyways. If you dont like it you can cut the pieces backwards so that the part you need is in the vice and that will cleanly cut the burr off

I've just spent the last 3 days cutting steel profile bars. All at 45 degrees. Call me exhausted. On my saw I move a stop on a rail to the desired length. I'm very curious about this Reekon but I have some concerns about potential measurement errors, when you close the saw vise. So you open the vise, the bar is 18' long and you push it forward 10' and the Reekon tells you that you are at exactly 10'. Great. Now the bar is about 1/8" away from the rear vise jaw. You tighten it, and now it moves 1/8" toward the rear jaw.... The Reekon does not measure this "Y axis" movement, because the bar slides perpendicular to the wheel. But your bar now cuts longer, because you're cutting at 45 degrees. I hope I explained it well. It looks confusing to me. lol How do they solve this problem??

It seems like as long as I keep the material pressed tight up against the rear of the vise, it cuts it accurately. haha I think on jobs with multiple cut lists, it'll be super handy! also I don't know how many times I've needed it cut to 39" but for some reason I marked it at 36" or even 29"! I think just having the readout will help! I hope you're not too burnt out from all that cutting! It's so tedious and does not help the day go by any quicker!

@@5thStreetFab Ah yes, burnt out, worked until 2:45am one night, 11:30pm the other night. It's over 100 bars, and what takes so much time is the double checking and triple checking before the cut. But you're right about those "dyslexic" mistakes and having a digital readout would help with the visual number. That's a good enough reason to get one.

Man those late nights suck! Im out of it by 9pm and start getting sloppy after that! We'll see how long it lasts and how often i use it
