The excuse that there was no resolution because it was a true story is bullshit. This was inspired by true events but landed up almost nothing like what actually happened. Throughout watching this show i was amazed at how unpredictable it was, but now I realise it was unpredictable because they had no fucking clue where they were heading.

Just watched this. Its a hot mess of twists and never know but its obvious the dude in the tunnel is the guy one getting into the house. But in real life the tunnels dont exist.

I don’t know how to word this without sounding rude but it’s a genuine question. Why do voice videos on KZbin all speak like this. Like in a mental AI style way where every piece of punctuation is really pronounced. Really long sentences with weird cadence and lots of up talk. But then ending every point with a really emphasized drop in tone. It can’t be a regional thing. As I hear it from British, American and Australian voice overs. I don’t know who decided this is how KZbinrs should speak but it’s awful and none of the very best do it so why is it so common. It’s like how all flight attendants speak with the same weird rhythm. I genuinely want to understand what’s going on. Is it just how what happens with people who arnt very comfortable talking and are over rehearst?

In my book there’s no theories, it’s definitely graff pearl and jasper, well not so much jasper considering he hates John graff for making him witness the murder of his family.. but definitely pearl and graff. I’m sure big moe new something about it but wasn’t involved in any way.

My theory is that John Graf was The Watcher sending the letters working with Pearl and Jasper. Pearl could have sent the letters to Graf sending him over the edge then blackmailing him into being the second watcher. Remember in the final episode Roger Kaplan looks at him and asks “how’s the family”. Kaplan would have taught the Graff daughter as she was in high school at the time of her death. Which means the only people that can positively identify John Graff are Pearl, Jasper and Roger Kaplan. Dean, Nora and Theodora should have thought of that when Kaplan was brought up as a suspect. Then Dean could have come to a forensic sketch artist and bring the portrait to Roger and ask him if he taught the Graff’s daughter. I highly doubt a school teacher would have forgotten the murder of one of his students. Also John would have gone to his children’s parent teacher conferences which is why Kaplan recognized him. In small suburban towns people know each other.

I think the creators were obsessed with trying to break the world record for plot twists in one show. If they didn't have a problem changing mostly everything factual in the true story, then why not change the real life ending as well?? A payoff would've been nice. Well, I guess that means stay tuned for season 2...
