Kyle is so incredibly articulate. What an amazing gift he has for articulating what’s happening and carving the way forward.

It took me a long time to get to the emotional work but when I really went there getting into my body, learning to feel and allow all the emotions in my body (I was very repressed) doing the emotional work was the way out for me. Thank you Dr. Sarno!

Kyle is so on point for me. I used to always be an over thinker, then when sick my mind was a mess. Overthinking means under feeling and although it was not a quick process for me, learning to be in my body and feel, feeling my emotions I have a quiet mind and it is fabulous. I did also work on my mind (learning not to worry about symptoms, letting go of unhelpful thoughts and narratives, letting go of the inner critic, The Three Principles Understanding, mediation, mindfulness, etc.) before getting to the emotions work and it did made a difference in my symptoms, but after the emotional work and learning to be in my body feeling the sensations and emotions my mind is so much stiller than even before I got sick.

In my third year of long covid and have had a massive set back after getting covid again at Christmas. I’m unable to move (without feeling like I’ll collapse) and I’m finding it difficult to reach equilibrium with pacing. I’ve stopped as many mental tasks as possible, phones and laptops are the worst, and increased meditation. I’ve also invested in an infrared sauna, so lie in that with the window open, listening to the birds. I’ve also started watching Murder She Wrote 😅 This is actually really helping as it’s bland and I use less energy doing that than watching the birds (I tend to start thinking when I do that). Happiness and health to everyone who needs it. ❤

I didn’t tell anyone outside of immediate family and one friend for the first 20 years. As soon as you tell someone you are doing better (such a relative term), they assume it’s over or will be shortly because that’s their experience with temporary illness. Even my mother acted surprised when I mentioned that I was tired because I hadn’t said anything about it first years. 😮

Harry Bobby - really appreciate all your work in this space. Been with me for the last 18 months and I’m really appreciative. Quick question - how are you currently. I know you (like many of us) dealt with ongoing relapses. Really interested to know how you are travelling.

I appreciate that Kyle is genuinely trying to help people but some of the language is giving me gaslighting vibes. Like his decision to “drop this identity”, I refused to acknowledge I had Long Covid for a long time, and it didn’t help me. Acknowledging it and trying to advocate for more research is one of the few things giving me hope. Admitting I have a disease is not identifying with it, it’s just being realistic. Also, the movement part: yes, obviously being outside & moving is a good thing but what is someone who’s severe supposed to do with that info? Whenever I push, I get worse, and I’ve been meditating and doing breath work for years, before I got Covid too. Anyways, I’m glad he’s better and I hope I’ll be as fortunate.

I can understand your struggle. It’s a holeistic view you have to take. In the beginning diet helps a lot to get one moving in the right direction. But there comes a point looking at your identity is necessary. It goes way deeper then you can see right now.

With all due respect, this is such a condescending comment that is essentially victim-blaming. You have no idea what kind of person I am and how “deep” I can look within myself. Who are you to say I haven’t explored these concepts?

@@sophsoph_psd the way you respond shows me that you haven’t. I don’t see you as a victim.

@@l.s9148 lmao I don’t see myself as a “victim” either but what you’re saying is essentially blaming me for keeping myself sick. As if I just haven’t gone “deep” enough like you have.

@@sophsoph_psd no I don’t say that. If you want to use the mind to heal it’s necessary to go deeper. If you don’t no problem. I which you all the best to heal !!

What would you say is more important? Changing our life’s going threw comfortzones (going closer to ourselves, like Kyle did with not continuing university) Or is it more to sit with the feeling ?

How do you think yourself out of autoantibody tests, losing physical tissue, vision loss, tinnitus, dizziness, exploding capillaries? Its not my identity, i assure you.

The identity (nearly every human had one) causes stress.to some low to others less. The stress gives a good breedingground to Pathogenese like ebv,HHV,Streptococcus etc… The phatogens the cause all kinds of autoimmunity and inflammation. Think as using the mind to heal. It’s not all in your head. It’s real

why is it that in this field, 90%+ of ppl who share stories are allso selling some kind of therapy for others??? kinda sus the more i look into it.

If you had recovered, would you not also want to help others? It's a pretty profound thing to have gone through and I think people feel a real sense of purpose after recovering. I presume you're saying they're all faking it? There are so many programs like Kyle's, most of them have hundreds of recovery stories posted publicly. Maybe they're all rubbish. Personally (and having fully recovered using the same method) I think it's because they're on to something.
