Well the paint job I liked was on The Greatfull Dead album.Truckin' . 69 359 with a solid base color and what i can only say was a second shot /contrasting color that I thought from the hood back was nothing but a phallic design 😂oh hey I'm straight 😂!

The old saying was. To drive a Detroit write when you get in to slam your hand in the door so you are mad then you will rape that Detroit out. And it will run write!!! It likes being raped out!!! And u speed up shifting the brownie it will work at a 2 stoke was designed to. '' keep it in the pipe '' u know 2 stoke stuff!!! Lol 👍🙂
@glennjohnso3109 күн бұрын
So smooth on the shifting. Matches the transmission gears with the engine RPMs. No double clutch and one hand on the shifters.👍👍

Great to see your winter boots at 15:14. Are they the rubber camo boots from Canadian Tire? Do you wear any other rubber boots in the winter? I like the Dunlop Thermo Purofort boots if you know them? I like them because you can get your pants over top of them easily, even jeans. Would be good to see more of your winter rubber boots.
@Bubbles8V929 күн бұрын
Yes they are the huntshield boots, these have a slimmer top so you can fit tough ducks over them easily, I tend to stick to one thing if I like it this is my 3rd pair. They don’t seem to come in big sizes though

I believe you can still buy ol' two strokes fresh from Detroit Diesel dealerships... 10k or so ready to run! Ol' Ford L9000s or GMC General just bolt right in ... I love them and had one in Vulcan Quarry just 12 years ago in my quad axle dump truck... 6v92 turbo.... 350hp... 8spd... ran perfectly fine everyday 😊 I'd do it agian......

Pulled my first load with a 1953 Emoryville International, then got a big truck. 1973 GMC General with a 238 Detroit and a Spicer 14 spd. Progressive. Then got real big un 1975 with a 359 Pete and 1693 CAT. Been at 51 years and a shade over 12 million. Stay safe my Brothers. We ain't done yet. GOD BLESS.
@DrFruikenstein14 күн бұрын
Typical CAT. Starts right up. It takes 3 tries to get a Big Cam Cummins to start.

@Bubbles8V9216 күн бұрын
Cattle trailers have the legs farther ahead, depending on the braces they can catch especially if you are in pastures or tight yards, with our weight laws it’s hard to get the weight on the truck so you run the 5th wheel farther ahead.

That looks like a truck I worked on when I worked at Peterbilt of Tampa . Do you know if it came from north of Tampa and original owners first name was Frank ,Also was the top of the roof and sleeper white before being repainted silver .
@Bubbles8V9216 күн бұрын
Not sure I bought it from a dealer, all I know is Florida, can’t make out the town names on the door there’s been a couple different ones, it was a one owner truck
@julegodfirnon933115 күн бұрын
@@Bubbles8V92 I believe Frank owned it until he died , I saw it for sale on facebook and the story was he had health problems and let it sit until he died and someone was helping the family sell it.He did seem like he took care of his equipment.I only did warranty work on it when it was new, I think he used a mechanic around Dade city for his work.The last time I saw him was around 1997 when I was also running a 359.
@Bubbles8V9215 күн бұрын
@ that makes sense, it seems to me that someone took very good care of this truck but at some point, it’s sat for sometime things like the condition of the airlines don’t make sense for how well the rest of the truck was taken care of that’s why I feel it sat for the last several years The last ifta sticker is 2009.
