The mosquitoes and other flying insects are drawn to the black light. When they get there, the fan sucks them into the screened in cage on the bottom and they can’t fly back out through the force of the fan and they dry out and die.

Well brother, each time we go up there we find a little bit more that needs work. This time we were able to spend a good amount of time looking at everything on the cabin instead of working on egress, trash, cleanup, and everything else. It has some pretty skanky building from definitely a novice. But we did buy it for property value only. the existing cabin will be good enough to be a tool shed and store material while I build the new cabin. It’s not a big one so I should have it dried in sometime in August. I am going up in a couple of weeks to build the floor system and seal it then going up in August and I have a friend of mine that lives just outside Escanaba Michigan that is going to come up two weekends in a row and I will be up there for two full weeks. We're just outside of town here near you, we built a cinder block rocket stove a few years back to make our charcoal in - same concept but I can still process on no-burn days. 😉 One suggestion, we drilled smaller holes in the bottom of the bucket instead of the top - then once the gasification process kicks off the fire will wrap up around the container and help finish the process for you. I start my fire using only birch bark and cardboard, and let the wood itself fuel the rest of the process.
@safarijoesadventures
@safarijoesadventures 12 күн бұрын
That’s good information to know, thank you. I’ve seen a few different ways to do this. The one I used seem to be the simplest. I like the rocket stove idea because you can use less wood to get the same job done. I totally understand the concept of rockets as I have built them before.I figured as long as I was cutting branches and trimming back some trees to open up the area around our cabin I wouldn’t be wasting much wood to make the charcoal. I appreciate the information. Thanks again.

That is a 1954 international R - 160 farm truck. It was bought new in 1954 in Minot North Dakota from my mom’s husband’s father. He gave it to my mom’s husband Eddie in the 1970s. It was used on his farm up by Garrison, North Dakota, where him and my mom lived. When Eddie passed away in 2009 my mom gave it to me. It was always kept in a Quonset hut during the winter months. It has under 73,000 original miles on it as it was just used for farm work. It was running when we brought it down here to Colorado where I live when I got it in 2015. I actually have a carburetor kit and a fuel pump to put in it to make it run properly as the gaskets were bad in both of them. I will probably do a video on it sometime in the near future when I do the work on it. I was actually thinking about selling it to someone who would like to either do a little work on it and drive it the way it is or possibly restore it. There is a tiny bit of surface rust on a couple of areas but is pretty much rust free no bad metal.

@@ericscott3997 I could’ve got a bad scope on that rifle. It’s entirely possible. It would not adjust in so it was consistently shooting a good group. Years ago I bought a Tasco four power scope at Walmart for $28 and put it on a little 22 long rifle I had because it’s all like afford at the time I was a kid. I still have that scope and it shoots perfectly on my 22 rifle so you can get good scopes that aren’t expensive. I would sight it in with the scope that’s on it and see how good it is.

Was looking for a way to get some lights on my jon boat using a Ryobi 18v battey and now I know how to do it. Thanks for the video.

You are welcome, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I think Ryobi probably has more different tools to attach to their batteries, than most other companies. this lighting system will give it one more. Thanks for watching.

I used it in my Propane barbecue grill two nights ago. I smoked a sirloin tip roast for about almost 4 hours at about 230° until the internal temperature was about 145°. I use the blend of Cajun seasoning that I make myself and it made great roast beef sandwiches. I was using indirect heat. They work great.

Well, I’m glad you enjoyed it. I like the idea of the portable fire pit but then I thought about cutting that top out so I could use it as a cookstove also. It did work out pretty good. This one will be going up to my cabin in the upper peninsula Michigan. Thanks for watching.

I am waiting for the frost laws to lift in Chippewa county. I have to get an excavator in there to move something for me then I will be up there working. And yes, there are tons of projects to keep me busy, which I enjoy, but I will be throwing a little bit of vacation in there too. After all, I do want a few walleyes on the plate.

I saw your Winchester 1200 video shotgun and I’m wondering where the serial number is on that model shotgun. Thank you.
@safarijoesadventures
@safarijoesadventures 2 ай бұрын
On most firearms, the serial number is on the receiver, either on one side or the other and sometimes on the bottom depending on the fire arm. This was a friends shotgun that I cleaned so I don’t have it with me. I hope that information helps you.thanks for watching.

Thank you so much for the vote of confidence. I do have a construction background, so I do some building projects throughout my channel. I try to keep it all informative and easy to watch for somebody that is wanting to learn how to do things. It’s really not that hard, and sometimes it’s just a little tips that help people a lot again thank you for watching.
