Great tips! Used this technique on my West Highland Way trip at the end of May. Made a huge difference 🙂

my catbells poles got me through 33miles of the Serpent trail 100km race last weekend (a DNF for me but over half completed, i'm not unhappy). They were a godsend on the downhills and through the slippy mud and bogs we encountered. I don't think people give walking poles enough credit for being extra stability through uneven/slippy terrain. 👌🏻👌🏻

Truly inspirational video and a testimony to all the women and also this brand - I am getting back into running again after recovering from long covid and this video could not have been timed better for me as I commence a year long journey towards my first ultra - and I am officially now a harrier fanatic to boot!

Thank you so much for your message and welcome back! It's so nice to hear you are on the right path towards your first ultra. Myself and the Harrier team wish you the best of luck and can't wait to see you rock the trails! You've got this 👏 - Sarah from Harrier

Amazing, great video and very inspirational. I have Beckers Muscular Dystrophy and used to use a wheelchair i worked hard to get active and work through C25K etc - it's hard but I love running, i'm not very quick but my ultimate dream is to run an ultra but being slow means that cutoffs are an issue for me, not sure i'll ever be able to run fast enough to do any ultras! I did London Marathon 2 years ago in 8hrs but unsure if i'll ever get to do an Ultra unless i can speed up a little!

What an incredible journey already, massive kudos! You can definitely do an ultra! Check out organisations like Pegasus Ultra Running, they operate with no cut off, so you don't feel pressured all the way through 😉

Two suggestions: 1) White products for summer heat. Black is too hot in the summer for vests, packs... 2) Single zip rain coat with pit zips, required to vent heat and moisture, important. Cheers, Chuck Burr, Joshua Tree, California.

It's amazing that these global (and even larger UK based) sports companies with large R&D departments and budgets can't come up with such thoughtful designs. Simple ideas like the press studs, the off-centre main zipper, having access to water bottles when wearing over a vest.....and that's just this jacket. Harrier apply though to all their products - kudos to you. I shall be adding to basket.

Thanks David, I think sometimes the designers of the bigger companies just aren't long distance uk runners so they don't understand what you need in that exact situation. Or they base it off feedback from elite athletes who may be different from your average runner 🙂

Is the 90 degree rule still valid when choosing a fixed pole length or is there no basis for this?
@harrier_trail_running7 ай бұрын
Yes it's exactly the same whether adjustable or fixed because the principle remains the same, the height of the pole when your elbow is 90 degrees allows you to use the 45 degree plant
@bilaltahir99787 ай бұрын
@@harrier_trail_running many thanks but in one of your videos you say that the elbows should be more than 90 degrees that's why I'm confused which size to buy

@bilaltahir9978 it doesn't matter what type of poles you buy just need them to be slightly bigger than 90 degrees angle
