The ground sheet should come with it for the price
@geraldhenrickson747227 күн бұрын
In the 60's and 70's the durability of the tent floor material was a consideration. There were no footprints. Marketing took over and SLOWLY the concept of making us buy a footprint took over. I have never needed one except in Baja California Sur where the cactus spines are substantial and only thick canvas will do. I will have nothing to do with a fitted footprint from a tent manufacturer. It is rediculous.

The way the fly doors open from corner to peak is the exact same design as MSR tents; very few tents have doors that open in this manner. I had thought maybe because MSR had a patent on that design. @WayneTheSeine27 күн бұрын
I discovered this tent a few days ago via an email from Firemaple and considered letting you know about it but decided against it due to the price. That being said, it is a pretty nice tent with good features. I don't get why these manufacturers fail to label their products clearly or why most use fabric ties instead of compression strap. At $240 without a footprint, surely they could throw in a compression or lashing strap for a buck or two. As for the vents, they could simply install one zipper on one of the sides of the vent.....not a big or expensive deal.
@lukewatzke698427 күн бұрын
While that totally makes sense for your needs, labeling the storage bag is unnecessary for most people. The average person uses maybe 2 different tents max each year for at least 5-10 years? Everything I own in a storage bag is a different color

Most people don’t have twenty tents to confuse with each other. I don’t think having the company name printed multiple times on the bag is a problem.
@chuckynikki24 күн бұрын
Biggest issue is 47 inches wide. For most full size adults we need a 25 inch mattress to be comfortable. This tent cant handle two of those mattresses. Second issue is price to weight. Most of the big name lightweight tents keep the weight to about a pound a person. This tent is twice that weight. Granted i get the price. This tent is good for folks getting out ince a year. If your going to really backpack get a better tent, and sleep system. A bad night sleep will make a person quit backpacking.

I will still stubbornly never accept a tent that can't take 2 - 30" pads as a 2 person tent on principle alone, even though no woman I'm with would need one that size. Even worse is their website says 55" and you get 47". Interior dimensions on websites should be very specific and identified as inside or outside. Them calling it featherweight at 4.3 lbs without the ground sheet is stretching the term. Still, for a budget tent, not bad....particularly if you don't have the need for UL, though quite bulky.
