Wonderful photos. The lens is magic. Just my opinion but I feel most of the photos look too heavily manipulated. Not natural ya know what I mean. A bit much. The trees with all the white flowers looked much better white than they did pink. Just my opinion

All I conclude from this video is the AF is just hopeless in the GFX.I don't have the latest but only the GFX50S II, and can't tell enough how painful that camera is when I need some reliable perfect focus image ( i made it sounded like I am the only one want a perfect focus image, LOL), for that reason, I go back to my " inferior sensor" Z9 with 85 1.2 S and 135 F1.8 Plena.

I wouldn’t say the z9 is a bad sensor at all, very nice camera. 100ii is best medium format af out at the moment by a wide margin but still not competing with full frame af.

Excellent information. So which will be the best combination as per you? 85mm 1.2 of course , if I go for 50 mm 1.2 along with 85 mm 1.2 completely ditching 28 70 is that will be a good decision as per you?

That really depends on how much you value convenience. If you shoot weddings and have no time to switch lenses that could be problematic. If not you will have better rendering in my opinion. But you would still need something on the wide end if you plan on shooting wider than 50

The nikon 200mm f2 vr is still my dream lens for my D850. Both vr 1 or vr 2. The vr 2 handles the flare a little better because of the extra coating but my style is not to shoot towards the sun anyways. The Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 sports (2018 version) comes a little close especially with sharpness, (MTF chart 4000+) and the (almost)lack of focal shrinking/breathing close or at 200mm. But F2 at 200mm gets results no lens can get to, with full and fast autofocus. Carl Zeiss lenses are also good but they don't have autofocus.

Very good and thorough comparison I must say the Canon R5 is just a beautiful camera. I had it and because of KZbin and all these reviews of the Sony cameras I changed to Sony. And then Iwas so disappointed because of the very poor autofocus performance. I’m so surprised that no one on KZbin talks about this big problem (in forums they do…), it always hit on the eyebrows or on the eyelashes and the iris was always unsharp ( I want perfect performance like the canon’s and no post production faked sharpening…) I talked to many people from Sony at events and even send it in for repair but in private they told me the camera just can’t do it better. And I should change back to Canon which I did now having the Canon R8 and even with 24 megapixels I am so happy with the camera I just missed the IBIS but that’s fine because the camera is very small. Now I ordered the Fuji 100 s Mark two and I will try it out and keep the Canon system for sure at the same time. Thanks for your content definitely followed you :)

The local store sent me both the 100 ii and the 50ii and I ended up keeping the 50sii and I shoot professionally every day! I found the 100sii files to be unnecessarily large and the comparison between the 2 files wasn’t enough to justify the price difference. Unless you do landscape/architecture the 50sii is perfect! I purchased 2 bodies to have a backup which I was able to do with the price difference. You have to use the right camera for your style and workflow. I don’t use high frame rate burst. Thank you for the videos and files, a great help in deciding if i want to give the (now pricewise very interesting) GF100S a shot for slower paced work alongside my Canon cameras. The ISO performance and ability to extremely push dark files/shadows without the files breaking apart is awesome. the resolution difference between the R5 and 100s is interestingly much lower than i had anticipated, i am sure its different for stopped down landscape work but wide open the RF lenses are so extremely sharp that the Fuji lenses do not compete. i would even say the R5 files have more usable resolution than the GF100s with the 80 1.7. despite having less than half the megapixels. the 110 2 looks quite a bit better but still...not so much in between as i would have thought.

An AF test with an LM lens would be more meaningful-something like the 45-100. GFX system uses a lot of DC drive lenses and just like their APS-C lenses they aren’t great for moving subjects. So frankly the results tell me two things: Fuji needs to release faster glass and 2) maybe the 100 iii or iv will be the one fast enough for more dynamic shots.
