Cool thing about “Return To Sender” You can convince Hanlon to stop giving all the miscommunications (and also not to kill himself) if you killed Caesar before initiating dialogue in his office.

1:46:30 Fun fact: The first time I played Oblivion, I could not figure out why Waiting ended up killing me. Turns out I was a last stage vampire and waiting for one hour under sunlight was enough to kill me

In the context of pawn dialogue: (mostly in DD1) The reason why so many people criticize repetitive dialogue has to do with the fact that pawns are blank slates when they start out, and *must* be trained by completing quests and fighting small and large monsters constantly! If your pawn is barraging you with **”WOLVES HUNT IN PACKS”** **YEAH I KNOW THEY DO SHUTTUP!!!** 👹 Then it means that your pawn only knows about the wolves! And will continue to converse about the wolves- AND THATS IT!

Performance, singular safe file, microtransactions. None of these bother me. For one, I grew up playing SNES, and DD2 looks and plays just fine on the Xbox series S. Sure, it's not always smooth and perfect, but I honestly don't care. It's not bad enough for me to complain about it. Safe file isn't a problem for me. Why not? Because it's the exact same approach that the first game took, and I was already used to playing the game like that. Not a problem for me. The MTX issue, I honestly wouldn't have even been aware of if I wasn't watching YT clips. They have a store, you can buy some items, that's it. I don't purchase anything, and I'm not missing out on anything, so it's fine. None of these criticisms are on my radar. I have other criticisms that deal with other aspects of the game that I think effect my experience way more than those three issues. I'm not going to list those here, but I've played Dogma 1 for twelve years (on and off), and I love that game, and so there are things about DD2 that I genuinely dislike, or I think are missing, or should've been different, etc., but at the end of the day I'm still enjoying the game as of now. I don't really see myself playing this game for (many) years to come, unless some things are changed, or added, and I don't think Dogma 2 has a similar kind of impact as the first game had, twelve years ago, but all in all, to me, the game's enjoyable and I'm having fun with it, and that's most important.

When I was a kid in the 90's during the SNES era, every few weeks my father would take me to Toy's'R'Us and I got to pick out a game. One time, my uncle went with us, and he was trying to convince me to get some action game, and I don't remember what it was, but it looked very American. I probably would have gotten it, but almost immediately after, my eye stumbled upon the crazy box art of The Legend of the Mystical Ninja, and it was over. My uncle, with good intentions, tried to sway my decision, thinking the game I picked wasn't as fun as the one he picked up, but I just remember being so stricken with the box art that I *HAD* to know what the game was about. I'm so fortunate that I picked what I wanted, because that led me down a path of fandom that would last into my middle age years. Throughout the years my father bought me the N64 games, I played the Japanese only games, watched the cartoon show, hunted down figurines. I would do everything I can to get my hands on anything Goemon related, and I still feel that way now. Crazy how one moment in my childhood, that almost didn't happen, led me to one of the most beloved game series that I've ever had the privilege of knowing about. The series deserved more attention in the US.

watched just enough to make me confident in purchasing the game from a key seller for 50$, then when activating the game it actually included all the deluxe edition content! Either way, excited to make this my single player grind for when friends aren't on in the evenings.

I'm so happy someone who understands this game made a review. Ive heard too many unsophisticated takes on this game, and it's refreshing to hear healthy critique with some well deserved praise. I think the first game is superior overall, but I still really love playing this game.

I've been trying to play KOTOR 2 for years, but I always get the rare TSLRCM glitch in Nar Shadah that corrupts the save files. This was a nice recap of the story for me!

I love this game so much I just wish the lore for natives was better as they have incredibly poorly written lore, and are represented with multiple harmful portrayals

The section about the vocations hits hard. I miss OG Magick Archer and, in general, the dual bow/dagger classes: the way they move, the options, the way they walk and double jump. I am already super powerful, really really soon, so why did we lose so much :( This game is such a perfect mixed feelings experience in almost every aspect.

Question for vets of the series: for a new player like me, though I have put 110 hours into DD2 and done the true ending, is the original game + DLC a better experience overall? Now that I have finished the second game, I feel no motivation to hit NG+. Which game has the best post-game replayability?

That boy who got attacked by wolves i did really early on. Forgot the name of the first town thought it was checkpoint. So took an ox cart completely different town. Better armor and weapons tho. Then get kidnapped boy quest. Go out to find him. It getting dark pawns saying to head to a inn. Not doing that need to find a boy or he might get eaten. Also those flower petals glow. First campsite i found is next to a grave yard and i almost die to a necromancer and his skeleton army. I kill him say screw the kid cuz i was koed 3 times and slept. Then i finally find the kid still alive and a pawn being attacked in the cave as well. And then escort him home. Those wolves were a cake walk compared to that necromancer. I also killed that minotaur took forever.

I’m 28 now and granted I only did one play through but this was the first game in years I pulled a full 24 hour play session just grinding up mats and exploring I had so much fun and still didn’t see everything and it’s crazy.

People also hate ghosts from D2 in a similar way. I certainly do; just everything about them is annoying. This "misogyny" argument is just lazy, dismissive and ignorant.

I e played this twice, and always preferred the first game (even though this one _definitely_ had the better writing). It was just so rushed and broken, and utterly fell to pieces in the last ~third… but I never played it with the restored content. I played it on release and the second time only a couple years later, so that wasn’t an option. I think it’s time I rectified that! Edit: ooh and along with the vanilla+ mods to fox this up is one that allows you to recruit both the handmaiden and the other guy regardless of your gender (which is apparently what became canon after the game). I’ll be playing with that for certain

as Dual Blade main since Freedom Unite this man spitting real facts The weapon looks simple on surface level but there multiple resource and repositioning going on to keep your DPS consistency due to its short reach and stamina consuming you can really see after watching this developer trying to make it deeper each game
