I have a type R and my friend has a cayman, we go to country lanes all the time and he cannot keep up. The front wheel drive allows me to throw the car around corners at absolutely insane speeds with foot on the throttle. In the porche you can feel the back wnd pushing out and have to go much slower. So unless its in a straight line, a really good front wheel drive car can be a lot more fun around bends. So engaging, so sticky and such cheap power. Honda 👑👑👑

The problem is when you show people how you do something they put it down. The joke about Mansory glue on another channel show that something on your $1m car are not a flash as you think. I have seen a Testarossa in bits and it does not look that good with the covers off.

Justifying one instance validates the rest. It sets a precedent in which up-charging is a natural cause of increased demand, even if the demand is fabricated. At the end of the day, the value of a thing depends on what the market believes it to be. If enough of the market believes it’s worth x, then it will be x until enough believes its worth y, etc, etc. I would be interested to see how much car videos contribute to the evaluation of cars. I’d imagine that there’s significant correlation between the two. For example, if Dougie D posts a video glorifying a car and then puts that car on his auction website. Would that video not support evaluating the car higher than it would have been before the video? He’s marketing a product directly to the consumer, and he would have a vested interest in increasing the value of the product since he would receive some commission for anything sold on his website. Similarly with other creators who openly disclose the costs that they put into the car and their evaluation of the car post modification, wouldn’t they directly influence the market in the same way advertisement would. If so, is this either legal or ethical to do?

Subarus are extremely reliable and the best when kept stock except for upgrading the tires and wheels and maybe doing a suspension lift, all that should be fine. I daily drive and biweekly offroad a completely stock(except tires & wheels which were upgraded to all terrains and KMC Offroad wheels but kept the same tire & wheel size as factory) 2018 Outback Premium trim with the 2.5 NA Flat-4 Boxer and even with the much heavier all terrains it still gets over 30mpg on the highway! But best part of all is how surprisingly and amazingly capable it’s been offroad! I couldn’t be happier! The factory stock 8.7 inches of ground clearance ain’t no joke! It’s perfect for just about anything except for when it comes to hardcore rock crawling….but you don’t get a Subie to go rock crawling that’s for sure…anyways almost 127k miles later and it’s running perfectly fine! Not once have I ever had an engine issue….maybe it’s all the timely recommended maintenance that I do?

With my Lexus. I’ve thought about doing basic stuff because it’s a hybrid. It literally looks the same as a gas model it just doesn’t have exhaust tips in the bumper. Lowering on coilovers and not running reps sounds like fun because then I’ll have a better handling, lowered car. What wrong with stopping there?

Not a RWB fan but neutral. This is a Nakai-san's culture; people like it, appreciate it, can afford it - will do it. Those that don't like the culture, don't understand it will probably hate on it (at times cause they cannot afford it so haters gotta just hate. I don't go into a fancy restaurant hating on people eating at a fancy steakhouse, telling them they could get the same thing somewhere else or even cook it at home. Can't afford it, don't like it? Move on.

Alex's statement of this been art expression is acceptable, and i think this could be called more an art piece, or something on that line. But as far as I see it Nakai does nothing for improving the performance of thoose cars. For example, ricers still love stanced cars, and that's perfectly fine for them( even if it harms the car). But please dont say those RWB kits "improves performance" cause they dont. People are complaining cause of the poor quality and finish of the job, and because they try to justify it through worshiping an artist and his creations

Anyone who has ever repaired or modified cars professionally can see immediately that this rwb bullshit is a gimmick, it’s all bubblegum and duct tape. Looks like a ten from ten ft but far from a ten at 1ft. Looks good but will fall apart in a matter of 100 miles or so. The guy shows up and spends more money on the darts he sucks down than glue he puts these cars together with. These cars will only look and function well for the day he installs this cheesy bullshit. It’s a slap in the face to everyone who dedicates their careers to modifying and building quality cars

Akria Nakai, hey you build cool cars! Social media is social media. The one in the video shows that there is a slight error at the corner of the bumper. It may or may not be at both sides. That issue might not even be your fault. I don't know if that year has shocks for the bumpers like an old VW, or whether or not that caused a slight fitment problem. Overall, the builds looks very good. They are custom, they are nice!

It doesn’t deserve justification or a video for that matter. It’s all about “cutting up Porsches” and the HORRIBLE workmanship that coincides with him mounting the kits to the cars. Double sided tape and glue When you show me an all aluminum, steal or carbon fiber flares that are leaded, welded or bonded to the vehicle 👍🏻. What this guy is doing at these shows is embarrassing. Imagine if Foose built a Porsche in the same way. This guy deserves all the criticism he’s getting.
