The Mirror is no better and Liverpool fans are the last to take the moral highground with anyone. Sure the Sun was the most venomous in its coverage of Hillsborough but most papers including the Liverpool Echo was critical of the fans behaviour on the day. Liverpool had previous - the Sun decided to believe the police. What gets me is Liverpool fans decide what is ok and acceptable. Booing when the queen passed away. Booing and abusing 1200 Israelis murdered. Open top bus tours on 29th May. The Sun is still the UKs best selling tabloid. It was 35 years ago. The existing staff have long gone and they have apologised. You often tell Juventus fans to move on but are not willing to do it yourselves.

The other papers stated what was reported. The sun wrote those lies under the heading "The Truth". Liverpool fans behaved pretty well that day. There was no fighting with forest fans, even though forest were out looking for a fight. Sure fans were in pubs, forest fans included. That happens every game and always will do. The false bad reputation of Liverpool fans allowed those lies to be believed. Just like in Paris the other year, those stories were proven to be lies!

@@gavinmartin5151 like I said, the sun was the only paper to print those lies under the heading "the truth". The other papers only reported what the sun had said as "allegations". There isn't a ban of the sun in Liverpool. Retailers refuse to sell it and people refuse to buy it. It's called freedom of choice. Just like you are free to believe whatever you like, there's no reasoning with stupidity
