I'm a Czech guy living in Germany making money from garbage picking and whatever electronic stuff I find that does not sell gets processed into various states of refinement, so I have boxes and boxes of green circuit boards, pins, contacts, everything. Hundreds of kilos accumulated of 13 years. I see a lot of Gold on the edges of printer cartridges, so I take those off immediately. Pretty sure those dots are pure Gold. I have at least a kilo of these plastic strips like that. I have never done any refining because I'm afraid of getting busted by Germans for poisoning the environment or something, so basically I'm waiting to move all this stuff back home to CZ where I can work on it in peace. GOOD VIDEO, and thanks for showing us how you do it!!

I'm also saving all the computer keyboards I find, and I have the plastic strips from at least 1000 of them, plus about 300 keyboards whole I haven't gotten to. The plastic membranes contain SIlver so that should be interesting too!!

Was the gold geologically atached to the magnetite, or just mixed in? If it was just mixed in, couldn't you have extracted the magnetite with a magnet?
@akgoldbear7669Ай бұрын
There was everything in the sand, black magnetite, just black sand, regular quartz sand and gold. Not all magnetite contains gold. Black magnetic sand is everywhere, but gold is not everywhere 🙂

Not sure if you answer questions or not but here goes. I did what you did all except for the heat, and within two hours I had a large amount of crystals already formed in the beaker . Cotton filtered the solution, no crystals after three days. Question is, is this normal and will it work the same?
@akgoldbear7669Ай бұрын
Hello. The solution must be hot, otherwise ferrous sulfate crystals will form in the beaker along with all the other dirt. While the solution is hot, it needs to be drained onto some kind of filter. For some simple filter. I use a regular towel 🙂

@akgoldbear7669Ай бұрын
Hello. Unfortunately I don't have time right now to make ferrous sulfate for sale. I received a private order to extract gold from 144 pounds of gold-plated pins. I need all the iron sulfate myself. For the last two months I have been making iron sulfate every day, even when it rains 🙂
@Mohammad-obaidat-723 ай бұрын
great.. how do you get rid of nitric acid from the solution, sir?
@akgoldbear7669Ай бұрын
I don't use a lot of nitric acid. If there is excess acid, I just dilute it with water. If there is a lot of acid, then I adding urea and water 🙂
@Mohammad-obaidat-72Ай бұрын
@@akgoldbear7669 is there a relationship between large amount of iron sulfates and killing nitric acid
@akgoldbear7669Ай бұрын
Ofcourse. If there is free nitric acid in the solution, ferrous sulfate will react with nitric acid. First of all, iron sulfate will neutralize nitric acid and when there is no nitric acid, iron sulfate will begin to precipitate gold. To neutralize nitric acid with iron sulfate, you need a lot of iron sulfate; this is bad, since excess iron sulfate increases the density of the solution. The best way to neutralize nitric acid with urea and dilute the solution slightly with water to reduce the density of the solution. If the solution is very hot, urea must be added very slowly, otherwise the solution will jump out of the beaker 🙂

@akgoldbear7669Ай бұрын
To filter a solution with hydrochloric or nitric acids, you can use a regular coffee filter, but if the solution contains concentrated sulfuric acid, then not. Sulfuric acid will eat the paper filter.

Only if there is gold in your river or creek. If you see fine gold in a gold pan, then yes, you can extract gold from black magnetic sand. But if you don’t see fine gold, then you shouldn’t waste acid on black sand. 99% that there is no gold in it 🙂

I've keep for a few years 80+ motherboard, 80+ DIMM's, 80+ SODIMM's, 100+ processors, a big box of optical and floppy drive controller boards, a nice bunch of lcd driver and pci boards, about 2Kg of gold plated pins and connectors...
