I recently got the FX 1. While I do like it overall, not gonna lie. I do miss the hydraulic brakes. The mechanical disc feels like old rim brakes in terms of grip effort and stopping performance. Also, the 600mm riser handlebar on the FX 1 feels a tad too narrow. The extra lowest gear on the FX 2 is not really needed unless you do extreme climbing.

Second time I took the rear wheel off, first time everything went well, but now After putting the wheel back, I can't use the 5th gear, it just pedals with no traction and severe chain skipping. Gear 2 is bad too, but the other are fine. Anyone has any idea of why?

Hello Lloyd :) Thank you so much for this video! I truly enjoy riding my Ebike and my rear tire is worn with almost 2100 miles. I just got new tires today and wanted to see your steps in how remove and reinstall the rear tire with a derailer / motor assembly safely. Thank you again! JL
@greenNRGinitАй бұрын
Hey Lloyd, Success! Both Ebike tires are changed and road tested. Getting ready for more adventures. Thank you JL p.s. I found that inflating the inner tube to appx 2 lbs helps to position the tire/tubes properly on the rim. Then, fill the tube to 80% of rated inflation to allow the tire to seat/seal on the rim. 👍😉

I have fixed rear wheel flats on bikes many times. This is my first e-bike. We were riding in New Mexico and got many goat head thorns in our tires. In the span of two months we got three flats. I was nervous about doing the repair on the rear wheel on the e-bike. Your video explained it concisely. Thank you very much. My only suggestion is get the camera closer to what you were doing. Thanks again for this great tutorial!!

I fell in love with the Townie bike's after renting a electric and a non-electric one out in Florida. Absolutely love the smooth of the ride. I didn't realise that they aren't that easy to buy from within the UK. I'm 5ft and the habit of getting off the seat to have my feet on the floor was the norm for me. So I've never tried to touch the floor whilst remaining seated. I am debating whether to get this one or not. I don't take the battery out of my previous e-bikes, as they are stored in the spare room.

You're going to pay a premium for the Trek name and their warranty for the peace of mind. The Ramblas is a bit more of a risk regarding their frame and motor because they aren't tried and tested like a Trek/Bosch. To offset that risk, you get better components than the Trek in pretty much every area. You know Trek will be around tomorrow, next year and probably 10 years from now vs. Aventon where you're kind of crossing your fingers everything works out and they are also around for a long time. Heard good things about the Aventon motor with a minor con being the rattle that most seem to have. Doesn't seem to affect the performance or durability though.

I think it is easier to make sure you set the bike to it's hardest gear (smallest cassette cog) prior to removing the rear wheel which will give you the most slack and don't turn the bike upside down which will cause you to work against gravity it is just easier to remove the tire out of the derailleur working with gravity in my opinion.
