I really enjoy your videos and learn so much. I would like to know what are your thoughts about wild yam progesteron creams and phyto estrogen cream (isoflavone extract)? And how to use them. Thank you

Dr I love the mix them up. I've always liked to do that with my supplements in general. I love watching your videos. ❤

Sex drive ( simplified ) = estrogen + progesterone + testosterone. When is sex drive the highest? - prior a ovulation ( high estrogen, high testosterone , a bit of progesterone 😊)

So, if the ovaries age as you say, would that not affect the production of ALL hormones - especially if estrogen gets converted from testosterone? Or, perhaps what we call ‘ovarian aging’ should be defined by declined ability of ripening follicles into eggs ? FYI we do not run out, ovaries can produce new eggs, but we run out of the ENERGY that makes it happen, as I tremendous amount of energy goes into doing so…

What mg of progesterone should we take during menopause for those two weeks while on estrdia patch high mg 75

Dr Gersh, I so wish I had seen it years ago…I went through SO MUCH suffering, all the above and more, spent thousands of dollars of acupuncture, herbs & other treatments with mediocre results 🥹 When I put the estrogen patch on my soul cane back to my body, and sighing a month all my million symptoms went away!
@tammypaige8715 сағат бұрын
Thank you for your advice. Just spoke with my provider about hopefully upping my dose of estrodial and making it a patch instead then making my progesterone low dose oral to where I will only take for two weeks a month and see what a difference that makes. Struggling through menopause gaining weight on oral estrodial and progesterone pills low dose during menopause

What if your hormones still cycle but not bleed ( as the E is just not high enough)? What if those cycles are just too short to supplement them into ( to frequent) bleeding? Shall we try to lengthen them somewhat?

I am so happy I found you Dr. Gersh. You are amazing. Thank you for what you do. I have a question. Is it ok to use estrogen as a patch, on the vagina and face? Or is that too much. I’m 54. I am on progesterone too. Thank you. ❤️❤️

I just started progesterone 100 milligrams and an estrogen patch, the lowest, and I am in perimmenopause. I have noticed that by day 10 I am extremely gassy and bloated, so I will stop the progesterone, and then restart again in 2 weeks. Is there anything that one can take for the gas and bloating and or water retention? Please 🙏 🙏

Wait I thought estrone sulfate was the primary circulating estrogen and then this is modified to estrodial or estrol?? And I thought E2 was more Er-a triggering thus more inflamitory? Where as E1 is a very weak activator.

Are you sure MnSOD is dependent on estrogen? I ask this because I have looked and can't see anything... I can only see that estrogen likley elevates MnSOD via increasing ROS through reducing glucose ixidation in favour of fat oxidation, thus elevation on reverse electron flow which estrogen also dose via elevating NO which blocks complex 4... I have found progesteron enhances MnSOD though. Anyway any papers or key phrases you can suggest would be great!

I had an ultrasound thinking it was safer than mammograms but they said they found a lump that they couldn’t identify. So they told me to get a mammogram because surely they would see what it is. I did it but they supposedly couldn’t identify it without a biopsy. The biopsy was terribly painful and it hurt for a year after that. All of these for a benign cyst!!! They do everything to keep all their breast business running! I bet they knew from the beginning that it was just a cyst. It was 10 years ago, I never got ultrasound or mammograms since then ! Same with colonoscopy they lied to me! I am done with their business making gold money and cancer and pain

I like what you are saying but I think you are slightly off surrounding estrogen and mitochondria function thus weight gain... Estrogen reduces glucose oxidation and increases lipid oxidation in stead, this is not a good thing as this cause greater ROS and less ATP resulting in insulin resistance and thus a build of acetyle CoA to malonyl CoA and cellular fat formation... This is partly what estrogen dose to supply the lipidz required for the new formation of cell membrains thus qhy cancer loves it.

I’m 58 and menopausal. I take estrodial and I need the progesterone to keep from getting cancer of the uterus and cervix. I also need the progesterone to help me sleep. If progesterone is protecting me from cancer, and it’s inhibiting estrogen from uptaking to the receptors, what am I supposed to do???

I want to switch to cyclical use. Taking a 0,5 vivelle patch dot/100 progesterone nightly. Do I just stop progesterone for first 2 weeks? I don’t mind bleeding. My doctors(GP and Obgyn) both have no idea about the dosage. Anyone have switched to cyclical? Thank you

Can anyone explain as to why women on HRT who bleed are such a scary stuff for doctors? Why all the scans and biopsies? In an endometrium buildup simply a cause for stopping progesterone and letting a woman bleed ? Or, is it more complex than that?

Is DHEAS the same as DHEA-Sulfate?
@dianaprice32274 күн бұрын
Round and round in circles! 🙏please tell us what the "optimal blood work levels for longevity are" estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, DHEAS. Once we know these levels, then we can work with our health care providers to achieve these levels, and tweaking the doses. You say dose matters, adequate amount of estrodial matters, dose matters .... what's that dose. Otherwise, I don't know the goal. Thank you.
