Hello again I’m always watching and rewatching your videos 😂 , tell me What if this idle valve sound is much lower? On my car (1990 260se) I almost can’t hear this click even with the hood open. It’s much lower than that click sound you shown here. Power supply is ok but with engine on and connector half disconnected I only get 2.9v dc I saw in another video you said it should be 4v to 6.5v. I have a very low idle around 500rpm only with cold engine almost stalling. and if I press accelerator too fast it will stall. and I have a high idle at around 900 or 1000rpm with the hot engine but when I change gear position for exemple from D to P the idle is normal at 750rpm but as soon as I step on gas pedal in P position the idle doesn’t go back to 750rpm it will stay in 900 or 1000rpm. I suspect the idle control valve is faulty as I tested other parts such as micro switch and tps and they are ok. What do you think?

Test the idle control valve, remove it and flush it in diesel and afterwards clean it with carb cleaner and lubricate with a drop of engine oil and the potentiometer.

i measured mine today initially could not get to the pins and i accidentally put the earth where the positive goes and touched the metal fuel line hope i didnt damage the ecu, My reading was 0.2v when car was warm and this increased when i reved the engine

Pozdrav iz kisovite Austrije. Nedavno sam kupijo mercedes R129 kome Ka glava nije bila ok. Poslao sam je na remont i uradita je komplet sa dizne, remont od 1100 euro. Kad se usisna grana vratila sa remonta druk regler, dizne, guma sva creva su nova. Postavio sam i upalijo auto. Malo je jacu smesu imo i odvezem na vraga u BOSCH servis kao da nastelaju. Lik je inbus saraf odvrtao zavrtao i vise nece da upali. Sad pitanje KAKO DA VRATIM TO NA NEKU POCETNO STELOVANJE TJ GRUND EINSTELUNG??AKO MOZE POMOC HVALA U NAPRED. ILI DA TO SVE POCUPAM I SENZORE STAVIM RASPLINJACE I UBACIM ELEKTRICNI EINSPRITZSISTEM. BAVIM SE MEHANIKOM ALI KAD SAM KA UCIO KA GLAVA JE BILA I U TO VREME ZAOSTALA. HVALA UNAPRED

Nije problem vratiti sve kako je bilo. Ne znam kako to da je zaostala? Ka glava je izuzetno pouzdan sistem. Spoj elektronike i mehanike - otkaze li elektronika, auto i dalje radi. KA glavu samo senzor radilice ostavlja na put da ne moze da upali, nista drugo!

@@mercedeske 1998 sam praksu radio na porsche box motori koji je tada imao ka glavu ali se malo ucilo o tom tj nemam praksu. Teoriju da. Sajba treba da ima milimetar do dva lokera pre verglanja da bi vakum prilikom verglanja povukao i spricnuo benzin u motor. Htijo sam samo da pitam kako vratim to na prvobitnu fazu taj inbus a da ne skidam sve to ponovo sa motora. . Da izvucem jednu diznu i vidim kad otvara ili??u sustini sam htijo mali savjet posto se bavite sa tim jer ovdje su auta sa K jet jako jako rijetka i nemam bas neku praksu oko tog.senzor radilice sam stavijo nov, kablove, svjecice, kapu i razvodnu ruku. Obe punpe drug regler uz punpu. U sustini sve je novo. Rezervar skinut i opran sve kako su iz remont ka glave rekli. A razlog sto sam vas pito je sledeci, sve su prilikom remonta mazali farbom i obiljezili tako da ni jednu diznu nesmem odvrnuti. A razgovor tj savjet naplati nije problem. Ako je moguce vratit grund einstelung bez da je skidam. Na urquattra audija sam izbacijo taj sistem cak i razvodnik paljenja i ubacijo bobine jer mi je i pre 15 godina k glava pravila problem koji definitivno nisam znao da rijesim drugacije.

@@bekybeky5318 Odvrnite jedan lajtung koji vodi ka diznama, prespojite pumpu da nonstop radi, okrenite imbus 3mm dok gorivo je krene da ide. Tad okrenite imbus za pola kruga kontra od kazaljke na satu. To se zove početno podešavanje smeše. Tad bi auto trebalo da upali. Posle toga mu nađite srednju vrednost gde neće da bude ni mnogo bogat ni siromašan.

Great Video! I've had the hardest time getting my car to start. I had been through all the tests, and everything had checked out. I suspected it was the mixture control screw but couldn't find anyone out there who could advise on how to properly perform an initial setup on this. Also, they don't talk about this in any of the K Jetronic manuals that I have. Your video was exactly what I was looking for. I followed your procedure, and the car started right up! I can't thank you enough for taking the time to make this video! THANK YOU!

I have replaced the fuel pomps. The original are almost 40 years old. So that problem is solved. I get fuel out of the main fuel line ad the distributor. Also fuel uit of the cold start outlet. But nothing out of al 8 outlets of the distributor. Engine starts with fuel poring in the inlet. And runs for just a second. Could it be the black box you mentioned in this video?

@mercedeske I made my Amazon special work 😜. On the cold start valve side. 6,1 Ad the other side also 6.05 Measure both side separately. That's the best I can do ad the moment 😥

Evo ispisa dijelova, ali na njemačkom jer dosta znam samo njemački : Tank und Leitungen gereinigt, neues Benzinpumpenpaket - neue Pumpe, neuer Filter, neuer Druckspeicher, neue Leitungen, neuer Dämpfer, neues Tanksieb, neuer Tankanschlussschlauch, neuer Halter. Vi ste promenili sve sto sprecava lose toplo paljenje. Da li ste testirali dizne. Nisam video da su na spisku. Ako ih niste promenili, peomenite ih. Prikacite auto na manometar i vidite sta se desava, zasto auto tesko pali ako je vec promenjen akumulator goriva(Druckspeicher). Vidite da li auto gubi rezidualni(preostali pritisak). Da li auto moze da izdrzi pola sata, a da mu pritisak ne padne ispod 3bara. Pozdrav

@@mercedeske dizne do sada nisam promijenio. Sada sam kontrolirao pritisak. U pravu ste, poslje 2 minuta je krenuo ici dole i za 8 minuta je bio na 0....... Znaci sljedeci korak je promjeniti dizne? Je tako? Hvala

@@peterhatas7487 Promenite ih. To mi pada na pamet pošto ste rekli da ste promenili akumulator goriva(Druckspeicher). Promenite preventivno i filter na ulazu u razdelnik. Mnogo znači a jeftin je.

The moment you do the adjustment then you start turning the screw clockwise until the car almost dies, then start turning the screw counterclockwise until the same thing happens, remember how much you have been turning the screw and take the average value. For example you turned the screw clockwise for 45 degrees and the car wants to die, then you turned half a turn counterclockwise and the same thing happens then after half a turn counterclockwise turn the screw 45 degrees clockwise. On the K-Jetronic system you can manually adjust the idle so bare that in mind as well.

Ja sam iz Sarajeva BiH ...imam motor M103 u mercedes g klasi 1994 godina ...rad na leru mi mjenja stalno nekad je 500 obrtaja nekada 1300 ..ostalo sve pali ide dobro bez problema ..potrosnja je prosjecna oko 20 litara ...ovdje ne smijem nikome dati da to pravi ..bojim se da ne bude gore😂...

That is gasoline. Find a syringe and remove it. Check the pressures to see if your mixture is lean or rich.

Hi Ivica, I hope you are well. I followed your instruction on this video for 1986 - 190e - 2.3 with cat, and I have 0 ma (ZERO) for all 4 stages. except at stage 3, I have 0.9volts. I checked it again with another multimeter, the same values. Any suggestion on where the problem is? I changed the computer, no difference. Thanks

@@henrysalem5516 If you get 0mA on ignition on then it's either the ECU or the EHA - check the continuity on the wires of the EHA. If you don't get 19.5ohm on ignition off on the EHA, then the EHA is the culprit.If you get 11-13V on ignition on but you don't get the mAmps then it's the ECU. Either the Ecu or the EHA.

I followed your steps: - The EHA wires continuity is OK. - The EHA Ohm was 18.3 and changed it to new EHA, with 19.8 Ohms. - At ignition on, I get 140mA, I changed the ECM, again the same value of 140mA, instead of 20ma. - I disconnected the fuel pump relay, still 140ma. I don't know where the problem could be. Thanks

Thank you sir 🙏 thanks the video. A bought a "nice" 420SEL 1986. Engine not running. Crank nu start. And after cranking a fuel smell. Will fire 🔥 on starting fluid. I have the idea that the previous owner messed-up the mixture screw. You video will hopefully solve the problem

what about the fuel pumps check valve? if they go wrong can happen the same?

If the check valve goes bad you can't get the pressure build up. The best way to check the check valve is to mount the pressure gauge, start the car, let it run for about a minute and stall the car. If the pressure drops the very same moment to 0 you have a bad check valve!

Check the pins on the OVP - 87L and the pin on the ECU for the ground if you have continuity ad if you get 11-13V

@@mercedeske thank you! On pin 87L I don’t have continuity with ignition off but I have continuity with ignition on engine off. The ECU engine ground is the connector number 2 on m103 engine I have continuity also. And I have 13v on Icv. Maybe all the 3 icv are shot? Because one of them the engine idle at 1300rpm, another one engine idles at 1100rpm, and the last one the engine idles at 1000rpm

@@gcgj1540 I meant the ICV - the power supply is the OVP and the ground is on the ECU connector pin 3.

@@mercedeske ok thank you , checked pin 3 on Ecu and no continuity with ignition off and on. And also checked voltage I have 12.3v on Ecu pin 3 with ignition on.

@@gcgj1540 i having the same issue here m103 1300 rpm i will change my OVP relay and smoke test for vacuum leak once i fix my issue i will post a video

@@walukab14 my ovp is new and I don’t have abs light on I have done smoke test too and no vacuum leaks.

Only 2.8v here at idle and hot engine I tried 3 different valves and is the same situation

Hello, it’s a long shot but maybe you can help me with this, on my w126 m103 engine the system pressure should be 5.3 to 5.5bar but I only have 5.2 bar, why? I have tried 2 different fuel pumps one original Bosch and one aftermarket one but both only gives me 5.2 bar. I also have a new fuel filter nothing changed. I also lose pressure too fast after turning off the car my pressure drops to 0 bar in around 10min only while it should be in around half hour. I have checked inside the air flow meter for fuel leak from the control plunger nut oring but it’s dry in there. Fuel injectors are all new, cold start valve checked, fuel pump and check valve new, accumulator is old but I have pinched that return hose and pressure still drop so I think fuel accumulator is ok. However I read somewhere that a bad accumulator can cause the system pressure to drop slightly (like in my case) Is it true ? I don’t have a very hard hot start the car usually starts the second try when hot. But the car is a little jerky after starting for a few seconds or a minute. Strange situation. Or maybe it’s a bad fuel pressure regulator or starting to go bad ? but I don’t have fuel leaking in that little vent hose. My control pressure is 4.6bar when engine is cold and 4.7 to 4.8bar when engine is hot around 85, 87degrees.but I forgot to unplug the Eha valve. Also when I start the car cold it idles very low around 500rpm and then during warm up idle speed increase to 750rpm and when fully hot (87degree) idle speed is 1000rpm. Checked and replaced idle control valve and hoses nothing changed. With engine on I have battery voltage around 13v to the idle control valve plug. Is it correct ? Ovp relay is new and I don’t have abs light on. Ecu seems to be working ok as I have fuel enrichment when suddenly depress accelerator cable and release fast control pressure rises to around 5.2 bar and quickly return to normal position around 4.8bar so I think Eha valve and Ecu are working is it right? potentiometer adjustment is 0.8v, other sensors tested seems to be ok, sorry for the very long text. Did I miss something else to check? I know it’s very hard by distance but What do you think it could be bad here? Or did you witness a similar situation? Thank you very much 🙏

@@gcgj1540 when testing my fuel pressure regulator today, I found it has a 4.5 key that adjusts it's release pressure, maybe yours needs a slight adjustment

@kwalelalipimile3894 That's the screw which regulates the residual pressure(engine off), it has practically no function when the engine is off. Greetings

My car takes long on first start when hot starts at first attempt, this could be the fuel pump check valves?
