i disagree with you but at the sametime i respect your honest perspective if you think unity 6 is a fine that's fine but for me i think unity 6 is not a failure to me i don't believe in failure there is no such thing as failure to me for most things i love i love both unreal enigne and unity equally and i think unity is underrated there are some that love prefer unity over unreal engine, some love prefer unreal engine over unity and some love prefer both unreal engine an unity equally we all have our own difference preference i respect that well for me at the sametime there is apart of me that love unity better that's just me

The really bad thing on zbrush core is, that polygones are limited, i will change to blender, sorry zbrush, but i dont like the new greedy company philosophy . At least zbrush core i bought for 300 euros, its mine, not only borrowed!

Biggest pro with Solidworks besides it´s easy of use and great looking graphics is it´s weldment feature. You ca create 3D sketches very fast and ten continue to imports weldment structures and create welds. Surfacing wise it has only the most basic surfacing tools compared to CATIA.

To make matters short. Different industries use different CAD products. Automotive and aviation uses CATIA and NX, tool makers use SolidWorks, Inventor etc. You learn the software which you need in your industry. You want to work with cars ? Learn CATIA and NX.

I've been a Maya user for 15 years as an Indie user. Honestly, most of the stuff I do is now totally doable on Blender. I have never liked Maya for animating, always bogs down especially with mocap data. For this on regular aniamtion, I have always used MoBu. Now there's Cascaduer and the physics engine seems better than MoBu. So now, I continue to use Maya, but given the massive expense and all the catch-up blender has already done, looking hard at making a permanent switch. However, this old dog is not looking forward to learning yet another piece of software.

I used 3ds Max for more than 17 years. with 4 years of experience with Blender I am pretty sure 3Ds Max Never Ever not gonna hit the Blender even in dream but Blender can bit 3Ds Max performance in time. 3DsMax just a dead software.

Im not seeing getting back to Blender anytime soon tbh. I use 3ds Max for modeling and minor rigging and animations, Maya for animation, rigging and grooming (hair, feather, fur), ZBrush for sculpting, Marvelous Designer for clothing and so on. Blender still has a long way to go although its really good, not gonna lie considering that it is freeware. We will see where the industry will be in a couple of years. As indies we at least get to use what we see fitting in unless we want to make sure that our portfolio is attractive enough for future job in the established studios for example where 3ds Max and Maya are mostly the software of choice for the workflow.

I have both, if you look you can get both for free. Not sure which is better. Essentially you can get almost any of these programs for free if you really want to learn them so for me its how easy it is to use a program that is much more important. By the way legally you can get Houdini Apprentice (output VDB's), Davinci entire suit (non commercial) and blender all for free as well as Krita and inkscape for prep work.

The Full Saying: “Jack of All Trades, Master of None, Though Often Better Than Master of One” i dont belive this applies as both are equal, the traditional argument being open source vs closed and is an economic theory open source will innovate increasing risk, closed will perfect and stabilize risk. eventually the difference becomes nominal and open source overtakes closed source but the time/risk is the biggest factor to innovation which comes from a free market rather than state owned or low regulations and private property
@RedG25

Open Source = Andriod, Linux. ♂♀what you're saying is true and falls at the same time.♀♂ Maya, Windows, Mac & Zbrush are a Proprietary software ("Closed Source") There is also a risk that you may encounter one of these problems/issues such as blue screen, crash etc. these are things tht u cant avoid, I also encounter a problem with maya and is not only applying to me. Proprietary software ("Closed Source") is like buying a BMW series 3 or buying a Google pixel......... This means that some open source have the potential to be at risk once this also apply to Proprietary software ("Closed Source"), but remember we are not in 1999 or 2000 but we are in a time that a.i. can respond to us("2024"). all we can do now in 2024 is test or try out a open source, Before we accuse it or ASSume = ("making an ass out of u and me"). try it out it's free it doesn't hurt might even save you in the long run. Company wise ♂♀The difference between open and closed is that Proprietary software ("Closed Source") is a guarantee that you will receive support, a call center, a help desk, etc., on the other hand for Open source freeware that doesn't apply YET. ♀♂ Linus is being used in big company like banks.

I have 5 years work experience with 3Ds Max, 15 years with Cinema4D and a little over a year with Blender. I’m retired now. I discovered Nomad Sculpt a couple of months ago and I didn’t even have to learn it, it was so easy and fun to use. I have a powerful laptop but I haven’t opened Blender since I got Nomad. Get a decent tablet and Nomad doesn’t crash and it’s really smooth to work with.

3D sculpting, also called digital sculpting, is a way for artists to create 3D objects on a computer. Think of it like working with clay, but instead of using your hands, you use a computer mouse or a tablet and stylus. Here's a simple breakdown: 1. Digital Clay: Imagine you have a lump of clay, but it's inside your computer. This "digital clay" can be molded and shaped into anything you want. 2. Special Software: Artists use special programs (like Blender, ZBrush, or Sculptris) that give them tools to work with the digital clay. 3. Tools and Brushes: The software has different tools that let you: - Push and Pull: You can push or pull parts of the digital clay to create bumps or dents. - Pinch: This tool lets you squeeze parts of the clay to make them thinner or more defined. - Smooth: You can smooth out rough areas to make them look more polished. 4. Creating Details: These tools help artists add fine details to their creations, making them look realistic. For example, they can add wrinkles to a face, scales to a dragon, or textures to a rock. 5. Mimicking Real Life: The goal is to make the digital sculpture look as close to a real-life object as possible. With practice, artists can create amazingly detailed and lifelike models. So, 3D sculpting is like sculpting with clay, but it's all done on a computer with the help of special software and tools. I hope this helps but if it doesn't then I might probably have to define both 3d modeling and sculpting and then different between the two for better clarity. thank you

Marmoset better than ... Blender ? It's not a modeler or a sculpting app at all. If you don't use any other app to actually MAKE 3D models, then what are you gonna texture or render in Toolbag ? Wind ? Compare what's comparable.
