Lovely to see a factory that is so incredible clean. There is no dirt or residue anywhere, as it should be for a food processing plant.

@@FarmMarvels indeed it is. As a kid, it was always pizza on Friday, meat another day, then pasta most others days……unless you’re sick. Then you get polenta covered in tomato sauce and cheese 😂

I’m impressed that they can process millions of tons of spaghetti annually, but does this level of mass production mean more preservatives and less of that fresh, homemade taste?
@III-vg4dp
@III-vg4dp 10 күн бұрын
Dried pasta was created instead of fresh exactly because it made it a food that could be kept a long time. It doesn't require preservatives. Commercial "fresh pasta" or stuffed pasta do require them. As to taste, it doesn't really have an effect and depends on the quality of ingredients. Italians eat lots of dried pasta despite having the option to make it fresh. Fresh lacks the same el dente texture you can get from dried, but both are great.

The scale of spaghetti production is absolutely staggering, and it’s fascinating to see how modern technology has improved the process, but I wonder-how do they keep the production lines running so smoothly, and what happens if there’s a sudden disruption in the supply chain???

It’s impressive how efficient the production has become, but I worry that the mass production might lead to a loss of the authentic flavors that come with handmade spaghetti

I never knew so much work and precision went into making spaghetti, but does anyone else feel like the industrial process takes away from the homemade charm???
@ToxicSpinach64
@ToxicSpinach64 4 күн бұрын
that's why you would need to make it... at home...................................................... If you figure out how to produce homemade pasta on an industrial scale and still be able to make it cheap enough for the average consumer you could become a millionaire. Hence why homemade is... well.. HOMEMADE!??!!??!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?
