This was the first Georgia Traveler story when I came Atlanta. WSB was known for its serious journalism - “hard news” - so most of the staff weren’t thrilled to have a new guy who only did “soft news.” No one saw my stories before they aired. When this one was over the anchor team was stunned and speechless. The new, big deal personality just did a story on lion shit. It caused quite a stink.

Basically. If it were up to people like him, humanity would never progress. You’d think after living all that time and seeing how much had changed from when he was young to then, he would think “damn. So much has changed and it all came from people pushing the limits , trying new things, solving problems etc.” , but nope, instead he calls the best and brightest technology and accomplishments just short of miraculous a big lie, and is so dense that he seems to think his god put everything we’ll ever need on earth….meanwhile in his lifetime the population got A LOT bigger, and as such, resources continue to slowly dwindle. Just ignorance and stupidity. Should serve as a lesson to all of us young people to always keep learning, always keep in touch with what’s going on with technology and current day society as we age, or else you’ll end up like him or the boomers we see today that do things like think housing is affordable, or fall for scams on the phone and lose their life savings because they don’t know how the internet works.

@@alicialloyd6048 This guy is claiming to be born in 1849. That would make it extremely likely that he was born a slave. Slave births were recorded because they were valuable.
