Nikon's moved away from F mount now but I bet you it's still a lot easier to adapt all their existing Nikon/Nikkor gear to new Nikon cameras. Especially as their working with Nikon. I'd imagine Sony or Canon would stipulate that Nasa would have to buy such such a number of lenses and etc and without any of the experience Nikon has making/adapting stuff for outer space

Clients are expecting you to have things like lenses. If I have to communicate to a client oh I need this type of lens. Thye're response fairly will be, aren't you a photographer?? and why am I hiring you if you don't even have the required gear lol. I would avoid mentioning anything regarding hiring gear and just factor that into the quote, which would reflect the gear needed anyway.

Hi there! Loved your video, but you mention a free budget template with a subscription to your newsletter, which I signed up for, but the budget template is not showing as free.

Yea to all this, except weddings. I would strongly advise against them. They’re brutal and there are other better ways to build the skills/business.

Lizzie, i just discovered you but wanted to encourage you to look at a book on a counter intuitive diet that has surprisingly given me incredible energy, clarity and strength at 68. It uses a principal called protein timing. Its called the Whole Body Reset by Stephen Perrine.

Omg almost forgot. Probably a small reason to the avg. person but, Nikon actually has the best organization of files. Their filing system is top notch. With Nasa taking probably north of 8 million images by now to archive. I think Sony still has terrible filing. If I'm not mistaken so does Canon and a few others. Also, now that they build the GPS in the body, as well as another small thing, but the internal clock is very good. Especially in past camera bodies when compared to any other brand. I'd assume 99% of NASA image files, are Nikon. People think 2mp files are a waste, but not when you're in space trying to send files back quickly with the same quality as a full size jpeg/raw. The NASA photographers have talked about this b/c they need to work. Being in front of a computer screen processing raw files is not something they look forward to doing. They'll send the Raw files back to Earth, but many times the NASA images we all see are barely touched.

Nikon's are made to be handled by astronauts (flagship bodies). So the chances of seeing a Sony or Canon body is very unlikely in the foreseeable future. That also includes the lenses Nikon creates which are better for astronauts to handle (because they actually make input). List of mods Nasa made for the Z9 Firmware: Nikon and NASA collaborated to create custom firmware that accounts for the lunar environment, including cosmic radiation, noise reduction, and other factors. Electrical components: The camera's electrical components were modified to minimize issues caused by radiation. Thermal blanket: NASA created a thermal blanket to protect the camera from dust and extreme temperatures. Grip: NASA engineers developed a custom grip with modified buttons for easier handling by astronauts wearing thick gloves. Lenses: Nikkor Z lenses were modified for the mission. File naming: The file naming sequence was adjusted. Default settings: Default camera settings were tweaked. In-camera communication: In-camera communication control was modified to account for an astronaut's workflow. Shutter shield: Shutter shield tweaks were made. HDR: Enhanced HDR functionality was added.

You'd think people would know that Nikon makes glass for other brands 😅 Also Nikon sensors are from Sony. The short reason is they've had the contract for decades, they literally make the best glass especially for scientific purposes.

I’m torn, I’ve just found an a7r4 for 1700€ new which sounds like a great deal and not worth the extra cash to go for the V. I’m not a professional so honestly saving the money for some better lenses sounds like a great strategy.

Hey Lizzie! Loved your video on the Hohem iSteady V3 gimbal - those travel shots were so smooth and cinematic! 🎥✈ Speaking of cool mobile filming gear, have you tried Magmirror? It's a nifty attachment that could complement your gimbal setup perfectly. It lets you use your phone's back camera for those high-quality shots while still framing yourself easily. Imagine combining that with your gimbal for some next-level hotel room and airport sequences! Keep up the awesome work sharing these mobile filmmaking tips! 👏📱

I recently started to think of upgrading my equipment, I started looking at the specs of each cameras while chatting with my fiance about all the specs and showing him example videos and photos taken with each camera, all his responses were "they look good, all of them look good"😅 it's so true that now the cameras have so little differences between each other that an average person wouldn't notice lol

The specs is amazing, but its just too expensive for me the Sony Alpha1 II.. I cant even afford the Alpha 1.. its my dream camera tho..
@garfieldmtify19 күн бұрын
I use to have GAS, you know what that stands for. I think I understand though why a number of us have to keep upgrading. Tossing not but love your way, that is totally cool if that is anyone thing. Who am I to say anything different. Making some serious art in different ways makes things that much more better. I have special place also for some old gear as well since they produce some very interesting and cool images and video. I have the Sony Alpha 1 & A7Siii in SmallRig cage which is totally great. Actually my A1 is also in the same cage. I won't upgrade to the new A1 (II) for 2 reasons: 1. The updates are not worthy enough for me to make the jump - at least I do not think so (key words, "think so") 2. Sony has a poor way in my view of giving lesser models better updates on their non-flagship cameras. Yes, eventually for example the A1 finally got meaningful updates. That took 3 years while lesser non flagship got feature way before the A1. For myself and know for example Gerald Undone and many other who really love Sony we do not like this particular practice. I am quite sure a bunch of us who for example own the A1 which is still very much beast of camera we will wait and see what Sony does and if Sony is listening to (or not). The 28-70 2.0 looks great. I already have the the 24-70mm 2.8 (II) & 70-200 2.8 (II) at this point I honestly do not see the point since most people looking at still or video will not be able to tell the difference. I did however just order my first AF 50mm anamorphic, so I am very excited to see that!

You're in the trap of thinking you always need the latest version of everything. You're a glorified Sony rep/ seller because Sony has done such a stellar job at marketing to you and keeping you kushty with these events, trips, and gear 🤷
