I'm shocked they make the tube too long, considering how most companies shortchange consumers on material like that to save money.

Just swapoed everything like you and the darn thing is having this issue. The setup has a clip that keeps the end of the tube nearly 3/4" above the overfill tube so this trick isn't helping in this case. This toilet has been such a pain for so long.

Thank you, I just wanted to let you know that I used the information here to fix my connection issue. It just happened today and it was working yesterday. I don’t know what caused it though.

There's one thing that you didn't do. You have to clean the underside of that rubber seal. That's where the gunk builds up.

Thank you! I took one look at the wires all over the place and thought I wouldn't be able to change the battery by myself 🤦‍♀️

I never comment - but I have to say: THANK YOU. It was metal collar savers for me. Six of them. This has been an on and off problem for months. Very grateful.

Why did you put it on with the bracket now upside down?

I replaced the potentiometer with a new one. It worked, but then the next day, it didn't work. I recommend these steps when installing the potentiometer. 1) Before attaching the wires, clean the old connections on the circuit board. I used a Dremel with a small wire brush to polish the connectors. I then sprayed some contact cleaner on them. 2) I noticed the connectors on the new potentiometer did not attach snugly. I used needle nose pliers to gently squeeze them down a bit. When installed, they were snug. 3) When screwing down the nut on the potentiometer, apply just a little pressure by hand. Be careful not to deform the potentiometer case. After taking these steps, it then worked fine. I also replaced socket (even though mine was not broken_. It does seem quieter. I may end up taking it apart to replace the bearing near the top of the motor. I have found the grease in the bearings tends to dry out over the years. This may make it quieter.

Good for what it is, but the title is misleading. This doesn't show you how to fix a loose door latch. It shows you how to fix a loose strike plate, which is a different thing. BTW, my preferred fix for loose screw holes in wood is to drill a 1/4" hole through the old screw hole, cut a short piece of dowel from a dollar store craft aisle, put some carpenters glue on it and push it into the hole. Let the glue dry and you're now starting with new wood, and it works like a charm.

This is the absolute worst advice I've ever heard. All you did was spray the product off the window onto the ground. It did not even have time to haze over. Read the directions on the bottle next time.

This is a simple method for you. But my bracket also holds the cable END itself.. the cable is a little loose when the door is all the way up, but I don't know if it's loose enough to wear if I take that bracket off it's not gonna snap and go somewhere where I'm gonna have a real problem putting it all back together. Do you have a solution for this type of bracket?

Had this exact problem with one of our bathrooms. My water bill was close to $300 (which is included withe sewer and trash) every month for about a year due to this constant refilling. After watching this video, I adjusted the height of the filler tube and NO MORE PROBLEM!!! I received my latest bill and it went down over $150!! Thank you THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Couldn't believe what an easy fix this was!!!

I would have thought that the inputs would be at line level and you would need to convert speaker to line level input to match the requirements of the transmitter. Not doing this could overdrive the unit and damage it not to mention the sound is horrible.

Some of them the cable is attached to the bracket. That is why they prefer to bend the track to get the roller out, then pound it back.

This was the best video I found for changing the back breaks. I tried really hard with a C clamp to open up the caliper, but I couldn't get it to budge. Everyone's videos just show them slipping the shoe on and it with ease. Yours was the only one with all the details I needed, right down to the metal prong on the new pads. Blessing from Boise, Idaho.

some overhead doors have the nuts to the bracket/ roller under the roller. that is why they have to bend the track. you were just lucky enough that your nuts were out of the way of the roller pin.
