Rocky was a movie about two people who had something inside of them, and they fell in love and that something came out of them for all to see as they transformed in front of our eyes. Rocky went from being a Ham and Egger to a legitimate Contender, and Adriane went from unattractive and overly quiet and shy to pretty and assertive enough to knock her bat wielding brother down during an argument and able to charge into the ring against the crowd at the end.

I was a young man just outta the Marines. Went to the movies with my girlfriend and her kid sister to go see "ROCKY". Nobody really knew what it was all about. No real big names and such. The Vietnam war just finished with a loss, a downer mark on our generation at that time. And it was our country's bicentennial to boot. The Beatles split, Rock and roll changed, the oil embargo was on, and muscle cars were no more. But at the end of the movie everybody was yelling and jumping up and down. Rocky spoke up for us, made us feel good about ourselves again, and despite of ourselves, reminded us to never give up on ourselves. I'm 72 now. Have been successful in life. Thanks Rocky. I owe you a lot.

i'm a woman and have loved fight club since I was 14... never have i ever pictured it as a "boy's movie". I just thought the message was universal. Men not having movies directed to them is exactly like being a woman reading "universal literature" thinking you're the audience and realising it's meant for men lol

I can’t stress how important it is to not go into debt or pay monthly for luxury items in your twenties. Can’t tell you how many of my peers I witnessed borrowing $40k for a muscle car or signing a lease at one of those premium priced “urban professional” apartments. They get that first office job, feel like they’re now “the man” and deserve fancy stuff, then 2 years later when they hate their job it’s too late and they’re trapped by their monthly payments.

schools brainwash people to be wage slaves with school debt, housing debt and credit card debt. I want to see more employee-owned companies and profit-sharing companies. As well as teaching kids to make their own products and stop acting like sheep.

They tell you, "You are not free; you are constrained by the chemistry of your brain. You are just a neural machine." Yet, some of them advise you to embrace life, overcome challenges, strengthen your personality, and build psychological resilience. Isn't that a huge contradiction? If my brain is the one controlling all this, then why give me advice, since neural determinism is supposedly responsible for achieving these outcomes? However, we often lean toward feeling enthusiasm and strength as a result of applying such ideas in our minds, which clearly indicates the existence-and power-of human will. But we tend to forget to logically analyze the contradiction in such claims, like those made by Sam Harris. He says, "You are just a machine," implying that there is no "you" in reality, and yet he tells you to follow certain advice. Isn't my application of such advice proof of my will to change my perspective and thoughts about matters? Isn't my interaction with life’s events with happiness, strength, and joy evidence of my free will? Or does merely recalling something involuntarily mean the absence of free will? That’s a shallow philosophical absurdity. The speed at which we make daily decisions and analyze situations within our minds makes people like Harris imagine that our brains are solely responsible for everything. But in reality, you are the one exercising your freedom and will through your brain. Reflect on this: the speed of analyzing scenarios when you want to make a decision or the rapid transition from one idea to another within your mind does not indicate the absence of "you." Instead, it reflects the precision of our minds. It is you, acting with will, who makes those transitions. Of course, you will exercise your freedom in what you experience and learn. So, don’t ask, "Why did that image come to my mind and not another?" and conclude, "It wasn’t me who chose." That’s nonsense. 4o window.__oai_logHTML?window.__oai_logHTML():window.__oai_SSR_HTML=window.__oai_SSR_HTML||Date.now();requestAnimationFrame((function(){window.__oai_logTTI?window.__oai_logTTI():window.__oai_SSR_TTI=window.__oai_SSR_TTI||Date.now()}))

Well, definitely yes and no. I mean, NO, he is not that boy between walls anymore. But how Mike performed in fights where he didnt destroyed opponent in first round - each time he needed more than just those hooks and cuts - he failed. But, did those fights in Tokio and others envolved Mike, the destroyer? Is there Mike the destroyer, or was it all just some kind of a setup? I duno, I respected that man as a fighter and never thought how much these "human attributes" Teddy mentioned actually inflicted his fights... But they most certainly did.

Hahaha, Oprah is hilarious. Look at her making those faces, like she understands his integrity. Oprah has been for sale since the day she came in to audition for her talk show in the 80s. She is not asking "why did you walk away" to give him a platform to explain it. She MEANS "WHY DID YOU WALK AWAY?" In her world view, Chapelle is just nuts. This is a woman who just (I am watching this video in late November, 2024) pretended to give a heart felt political endorsement...only to have it discovered that she sold that endorsement for 10 million dollars! Haha, this is a woman who virtue signals about healthy eating, who actually eats whatever is in front of her and then jabs Ozempic into her ass. I am just saying. If we are going to have a show where Chapelle talks to somebody about integrity...he is in the wrong interview.

Mike Tyson lacked Love and Connection. He needed therapy and emotional support. He got in his own way and that’s why we’re left with what ifs. Before cus died Mike was on track to be the greatest boxer, and greatest athlete, of all time. His losses had more to do with his drug use and deteriorating mental health than any boxing skill.

I'm a trans woman. I understand the feeling of everyone in your life telling you that you're the biggest piece of shit on earth. I understand what it's like to watch myself become exactly what they told me I would be. It's people like david goggins that inspired me to start going to the gym, to start becoming stronger, faster, fitter than I've ever been. I have so much confidence now. I can run 5 miles no problem now. I started training boxing as well so that I could protect myself, my family, and my friends. It may not fit your idea of femininity but I don't care. I'm going to become stronger than this messed up world. I'm going to become better than I ever thought I could be. WHO'S GONNNA CARRY THE BOATS!!!!!!!!!?????????
