Are you really surprised by Oprah's attitude towards the community of celebrity black males? If anything,i was surprised that at one point in the interview she seemed empathetic to the cause of the comedian, but it wasn't really her: it was the public. When Dave ( as usual) stole the soul of the audience with one line: love , is a nutrient... The reaction of the public surrendered to Chappelle's sincerity , and there's was nothing she could do but to knell to your highness Dave. You're absolutely right friend , Oprah is disgusting . A human being was not biologically built to be under a microscope and judged by millions of people around the world. The Hollywood lifestyle is a double edged sword. It gives people a chance to pursue their passion and touch the lives of people around the world. But it also means that you have to carry the burden and responsibility that comes with it. I remember first hearing about Dave turning down millions of dollars from comedy central and not understanding why. I live in Los Angeles and it seems like there is an aspiring artist in every street corner waiting to be found and make it in Hollywood and yet Dave turned his back on it. It wasn't later in life til I really realized why he did what he did. The older you get the more you realize what matters and what doesn't. There are things that money can't buy and there is a price to pay for trying to do so. Being spiritually bankrupt has got to be one of the worst feelings in the world especially when you are being judged by the world and being called crazy. It takes a tremendous amount of self discipline and belief in one self to do what Dave did. You never know all he internal battles people go through. It takes courage to publicly put your spiritual, mental and emotional health before money knowing you will be out casted for it. Dave has managed to stay grounded in humility despite all the bs thrown at him. Truly one of the best comedians to ever do it.

The things he says, are things that everyone should know about their enviournment. The thing is can you say from your heart "this is what i want". When we know that business most likely even if you get into something "good" the question will be what are you willing to sell? Soul is something that will be on the table. In other words, yes. But at any work you sell yourself in the system. The stakes seem higher when more money is in question, but the money too has a price, it is taken from everyone that are fooled to give more and more. For a man to say when stack of money is given and knowingly say - "No." He has seen what it is about.

It’s amazing to hear his story. There’s always more behind an actor than what you see on TV. I never realized how rough his life was. Wow!

I love how he played out Netflix and got his own special on his own terms with big bucks.

You ever notice the living legends and even some of the legends not here with us are the ones that go against the grain. Then when the media tries to trash their name. They go even higher.

Such a legend. Went from a teen to adult on his comedy, always enjoyed it. Love everything he's done, comedy or serious. You're an amazing man, Dave. Don't let anyone tell you different...

Ok I have a Question: In your honest opinion, do you find some of his jokes about white ppl to be racist or do you feel uncomfortable by them?

And now Dave does what he loves on his terms. GOAT. He's not under contract with Viacom or Fox or Sony he doesn't have to worry about endorsements he can talk about whatever subject matter he wants and does what he loves! He has enough of a following for him to be comfortable and raise his family like I said GOAT

Such a down to earth dude, he didn't let Hollywood and the entertainment business turn him into a shallow minded buffoon with a plastic face. He's totally genuine, ya gotta love this guy. Not many people would choose Ohio as a place to live but instead would immediately go to Hollywood with all the rest of those hypocrites and phonies!

If there's one thing I want Dave to know, it's WE LOVE YOU MAN! Destroyed all racial barriers for me and my friends as kids.
