dmc reboot was at times spiteful, hamfisted, and crass. that being said i still absolutely loved it and still do, it had a lot ton good ideas that still live on in dmc 5, the ost was great and the environmental design was absolutely stellar.

Personally, I liked V's gameplay but I completely understand why it was so divisive. Love hearing from actual fans of these games.

And here I am still wondering what the hell "combo spam" is. Isn't that kind of an oxymoron in like...90 percent of cases? Sure, Eddy has a combo from 3, and Victor with 2, but combos are usually practiced. You can spam openers for combos like launchers, but they're all over 15 frames (unless it started from a CH). It's like saying "they hit me with something thoughtful dumb".

This, to me, the most fair-minded and balanced review of this game that I've seen thus far. For my money, I thoroughly enjoyed Sonic Omens. I thought it ramped up to brutal levels of difficulty towards the end, but I never felt cheated (except for that one fucking arena with the respawning Metarex that you have to take out in the Tornado in order to progress - FUCK that part). For everything else, I thought it was tough but fair. I never felt like I died because Sonic clipped through a wall from going too fast or didn't land on a rail when he should have. I can understand people being turned off from a Soulsborne-level difficulty spike in what begins as a fairly typical boost game, but, on balance, this game ranks among my favorite Sonic games of all time, atrocious voice acting and all.

as obvious as it is how much love went into this game and it definitely was the fix that dmc fans needed i can't help but raise a eyebrow at some really odd decisions like consumable weapons, balrog's modes, slower and more "realistic" movement, making most enemies a fleshy monster thing which makes their visual and sound cues harder to distinguish from one another and V's gameplay in general i still love the game but i am definitely waiting to take a good look at DMC6 before buying it (also i wish they bring back lady and trish as playable characters)

Sonic's voice actor is good, but it lacks emotional range. Every sample of dialogue is literally the same.

How did you beat Eggmanland by just mashing? I remember that that stage hard punishes mashing with the Werehog and practically requires strategy to beat: remembering what combos to perform, what they do and when to use them.

I love style switching in game just by pressing a button and Dante yelling the name of style chosen. I am glad I don't play DMC games on a Console. I play all games on PC which makes it easy for me to play games and switch styles. I have played games on consoles and I can tell you that the buttons are so less on controller that even mathematical concept of permutations and Combinations will fail.

I played DMC4 and used Lucifer weapon. It was amazing. It felt like Dante got his own version of summoned swords.

Dreamrunner is really good enemy that i really want in original dmc. Plus, is there any enemy in dmc 3,4, or 5 that similar to Dreamrunner or better?

Always nice to see someone have an open mind with the Werehog, great video! I highly recommend checking out the DLC for Sonic Unleashed if you want more Werehog since they take the good parts of the Werehog and flesh them out even more, both in terms of combat and platforming.

I really like V. Is he less refined than Vergil, Dante and Nero? Yes, of course he is, it's the first time they put something like that into the game. But I really like what they did with him. He is different and the gameplay he provides adds variety to the game. I really want a similar and more refined character in DMC6. Also, his gameplay reminds a bit of a Chais Legion. A hidden gem of the PS2 era.
