Been playing on and off for years. Had 2 accounts lost due to not remembering the passwords. And quit fully till rs3 was fully launched. Max my combat stats. And saw OSRS. Tried it again off and in for years. And the past week. Idk what's gotten into me, but i rush home from work and hop on hit logout timer and relog just to keep going. I am having so much fun high alching, NMZ, and trying all the stuff i missed out on or did as a kid 15-20 years ago. Ifeel young again playing the game. This isn't my first time watching this video, but actually paying attention to it brings me joy. Remembering having fun as a kid. Killing hill giants for the first time. Killing Elvarg at 40 defense just wear rune platebody, and mining and cutting trees with friends. Fighting to play on our houses 1 computer. Maybe its because ive played since 2001 but RS feels quite large to me lol. Not as big as some MMOs, like UO, EQ or even WoW is a bit bigger, but RS is far more dense imo. UO is dense with player owned/run stuff but OSRS is all sorts of random stuff. Hell, i learn about OSRS i hadnt even realized even 20+ years in (tho i only played probably half those years at most)

"What if I told you that RuneScape is a Rhythm game?" You got more of a case to argue that, than Enhance has to argue that Tetris Effect would be a Rhythm game. Considering that the latter turned out to be the case before the game released and users eventually removed the tag - - - Yeah RuneScape's tick eating is somewhat of an argument in that regard, though calling it a "rhythm game" would still overshoot the mark a bit. I see the comparison being justified though.

Letting your son skip school for a day or two to achieve nr 1. Rank of a game, or certain aspect of it, would be the responsible thing to do. The game is played by millions and it would be a massive confidence booster and an experience they carry with them for the rest of their lives. Alongside the skills and mindset they develop to do "what ever it takes" to achieve later goals in life.

The scope wasn't known back then, the perception of scale was entirely in your own head. Most people didn't have access to videos to show you where you were going or how to get there. As a low level, every adventure to places outside the safety of the Lumbrige-Varrok-Falador triangle felt dangerous and grand because you didn't know how long it would take or if you would die and lose your items. I was such a low level trying to get to Ardougne and Castle Wars, at least low enough that White Wolf Mountain was still dangerous and I'd have to spam food as I ran through it. There were no teleport tablets and I was too young and too nooby to know about/ask for a teleother. The only forms of teleportation back then were the teleport rings, none of which I knew about or could afford.

I banked all my stuff and watched this unfold from the shadows. Lol I will never forget this bug

As someone who played Runescape in the early 2000's with my childhood friend, I am a bit of a mix of happy and sad that I missed such a chaotic event since I left Runescape in the mid 2000's.
