What is the minimum length board that will work when thrown so that it is balanced and the nose goes down in a gliding position? I have a small homemade board that is around 80cm and even with the mast all the way back the board does not want to glide when hand launched or thrown (without me on the board yet), it pitches up. Wondering what boards you have used and which ones you like
@yvonvite3670Ай бұрын
I've tried the 80cm Gong Kluber board and it worked for me.... Now I'm using a 90cm board and it is perfect. If you have an advance + fuselage it will help for sure.

I did a Chat GPT translation of the transcript for the French language challenged. It's not 100% correct but you'll get the review and insights about the ART Pro 1201: Labarthe and I have been doing foil windsurfing for a year and eight months now. I used to do kiteboarding before kite foiling, and I was quite good at navigating. I could even make chips without any problem. But when I started foil windsurfing and doing dockstarts, it was like starting from scratch. Let's not lie, doing dockstarts at the beginning is super hard and time-consuming. I started with equipment that I rented from Tropical Corner, and then I switched to Axis gear because I thought it was the best option. Now you can start with any gear. This video will talk about Axis equipment. So, I started with the PNG 1150 and the PNG 1300. I always praise the PNG 1300 because it's really good for covering distances and is very pleasant for pumping. You can even do a bit of freestyle if you want. I really like this wing because you can cover long distances and rest well with a Downwind Glide. It doesn't turn too badly. Then, when I got a little tired of it, I switched to the Art series, the 999 and the 1099, which are extremely difficult to start with in dockstart. It's really complicated and very elitist. It took me about nine days, I believe, to get the hang of it somewhat regularly in freshwater. I think it's simpler in saltwater, but in freshwater with low temperatures, it's extremely complicated. Axis has just released this famous Art Pro 1201, which is actually a good all-around wing, especially because it starts fairly easily compared to the 1099 or the 999, and it's easy to pump, requiring relatively little energy. When there are waves, it still requires more energy than the 1300, obviously, but it still requires relatively little energy, so you can really rest well. And especially, it has a really beautiful glide. It behaves very well. In fact, as you can see in the video, I manage to glide for quite a long time, and I don't get tired at all. I'm improving my downwind skills quite quickly thanks to this wing, which wasn't easy before with the 999 or the 1300, which were a bit too slow. Now I can really choose where I want to go, do long slides, rest, until I make a mistake. Generally, I always fall by making a small mistake. So, I'm working on improving that. Otherwise, that's it. It's fantastic. Apparently, it's very good for beginners in wing foiling for those who want to do wing foiling. I don't do it, so I don't know, but I recommend it for those who have Axis equipment to take this art 1201 with a Black Advance fuselage. As for the length, I chose the ultra-short, and I ride with the progressive 375 or the 85, depending on the conditions. Both work well, obviously. With the 425, you'll have a bit more lift, but the 375 works very well too. I have no preference for one over the other. I feel like I go faster with the 425, which is larger, but I have more maneuverability with the 375, obviously, although I feel like I'm going slower, surprisingly. But maybe that's just an impression. All this to say that the art 1201, if you have Axis equipment, is the wing to have for downwind in light conditions. When I ride here, I have 12 knots, even 15 knots at times, and the waves are barely 50 cm, but it still pushes me, it pushes me hard, and it's beautiful. So, I'm telling you that the art 1201 is really the wing to have for those who love downwind.

Hello. What fuselage and rear stab would you recommend for the 1401 for flat water pumping? Would you recomend a skinny, progression or the 460V2, and which size? I weigh 70kg. Thank you very much for your advice!
@yvonvite3 ай бұрын
I recommand the ultra short advance+ and skinny 360/45.... maybe the 359/40 for your weight... I'm 73 kg and sometimes I like more the 40, sometimes more the 45.... Skinny 359/40, will be mor polyvalent, if you want buy only one. If you can buy 2 skinny, take the 45 and 35 (for the downwind).
@andresknittel3 ай бұрын
@@yvonviteThank you! I was also recommended the skinny, but the 365/55 for long distances and time as it should provide more lift. It seems the skinny is the best option and then it is a matter of preference which size.
@yvonvite3 ай бұрын
@@andresknittel for your weight, 365/55 is too big. That size slow the wing too much and cause more effort to pump. No bigger than the 362/50, and even this one is too big for me i think.

How do you compare the SF1180 to the ARTPRO 1201?
@yvonvite36703 ай бұрын
The SF1180 have a way better low end speed. It's a bit slower than the art pro 1201. It's dockstart way easier thant the art pro 1201. It turn better than the 1201. I still have a preference for downwind with the 1201, but the SF1180 is more forgiving when you do mistakes (tips out, low end speed).

@yvonvite36703 ай бұрын
